Yuzuki awoke to the subtle sound of nails tapping against hard wood, the noise filling in the silence in the otherwise empty room. Peeling open her eyelids, she noticed that the room was dark, save for the dimly lit sconces on the walls. "Ugh." She groaned as she lifted her head up straight, her head pounding. It was most likely a side effect of whatever they had drugged her with.

Blinking, her vision became clear as her eyes adjusted to the darkness. Across from her sat a large desk with papers stacked upon it and a dim lamp at the corner. Her eyes widened when they landed on a pretty blonde woman sitting behind the desk, the purple of her irises were unforgettable.

The woman's unusual eyes flicked over to Yuzuki when she heard a small groan of pain. The silver headed teen was glaring at her, causing the corners of her mouth to turn into a smirk. "You're awake... so fast. I see you've built up an immunity to drugs."

The Hatake said nothing. Sighing, the woman pushed on, "You're probably wondering why we haven't killed you yet. You're Snow Country's greatest weapon, it would only make sense."

The woman stopped drumming her fingers on the desk, the room growing silent save for the shifting of papers as the woman set them aside. Standing up, the woman cam around the desk and stopped in front of it, leaning back on it as she thought for a moment. She drew in a breath before speaking.

"There's a reason you're still alive right now. You want to know that reason?"

Yuzuki clenched her jaw, "So you can use me as a weapon?" She bit out.

"In a sense." The woman cocked her head to the side as she watched Yuzuki struggle to escape her restraints. "You won't be getting out of those, they were made to suppress chakra and they're especially made just for you."

Yuzuki scoffed, attempting to yank her hand out of its cuff. It was no use, they were far too tight. Not even dislocating her thumb would work. Slumping in her seat, the girl held the woman's hard gaze, a fire set ablaze in response to her current predicament. "You won't be using me as a weapon."

The woman smirked, "Of course not. The Land of Glass has to win this war. We need your help to do that."

Yuzuki regarded the woman with suspicion.

"I know you saw what was in that intel. The Lord Ishida didn't tell you guys, did he?" Inquired the woman, already having an idea of what the answer would be. The conflicted expression on the teen's face was answer enough.

"He's telling everyone that we started the war just to steal land. It's what prevented us from hiring help from other nations. They don't want to be associated with something like that."

Yuzuki watched as the woman slammed a fist down on the desk, fire in her purple irises. "That's not true! He's been kidnapping our citizens and shinobi to perform experiments on!"

Yuzuki's eyes widened, she couldn't be faking these emotions. They were too genuine. So, it's true. She could never hand over that intel. At this point it did not matter that she would be defying the Hokage. She could not turn a blind eye to the Land of Snow's crimes. They needed to save the ones that had been kidnapped and stop Lord Ishida from harming any more people.

"What's worse, is that they kidnapped the crown princess." There was pain present in the woman's eyes. It wasn't like before when she'd threatened to kill her subordinates. The woman shook her head, turning her hard gaze to Yuzuki. "You must be wondering why we chose you. A criminal."
