[24] Come Back Home

"Yes, it's me. And who the hell are you?" Yuzuki didn't want to be rude to the woman, seeing as how she seemingly knew her father. Her tone was rather confrontative, suspicion in her gaze as she observed the woman. Instead of replying with equal vigor, the woman smiled. An amused smile.

"You're just like the first time we met. I understand how you might not remember me. A lot has happened since we met. I'm Shizuko Uzumaki." The woman rolled her shoulder, adjusting the strap on the bag that was at her hip.

"I... don't remember that name. When did we meet?" Asked the Hatake, rummaging through her cluttered mind. A lot had happened since she left the Leaf, and she was certain that she hadn't met this woman before leaving. If she had then she would remember her.

"We met about a year ago. You helped me out and then sent me here. I came from an aristocratic family in the Land of Snow but I was kicked out. I work as a diplomat for the Leaf Village now."

"That's cool and all, but what are you doing in my house? You still haven't answered that." Yuzuki placed a hand on her hip and placed her chin between her thumb and forefinger with the other. Shizuko fought back a giggle at how clueless the girl was. Why else would she be in her house and calling out for Kakashi? She also wanted to give Kakashi a good smack for not telling his daughter about them.

"Well, we're together," the Uzumaki gave the Hatake a smile.

Yuzuki blinked twice, thrice, and then her body started shaking. "U-uh Yuzuki are you ok—"

"How dare that old bastard not tell me something as important as this!" The teen growled menacingly, a vein popping on her forehead. The red headed woman laughed nervously. As quickly as Yuzuki's anger appeared, it disappeared, replaced with genuine curiosity.

"So, does that mean that you're pregnant with his baby?" She asked, remembering how she saw that concentration of chakra in the pit of her belly. Now it was time for the woman to blink twice, then thrice.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"You didn't know..."

"Know what?"

"I'm pretty sure you're pregnant." The Hatake stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Shizuko's face paled, her free hand instinctively moving to rest over her womb. It seemed like she was having a crisis and Yuzuki was the cause of it.

"Well... I'm gonna get going now. I have a mission. Tell my dad I'm going to find Sasuke. I should be long gone by the time he gets back so he won't be able to come after me." Exiting the room, the girl went to gather her supplies for the search mission, making sure to bring as many weapons as possible in case Orochimaru tried to get the jump on her. Checking her pocket as she exited her room, she almost walked passed Shizuko, until she noticed that the woman was still standing in the middle of the room, her skin pallid.

"Hey, Shizuko, you good?" The teen stood before the woman, pressing the back of her hand to the Uzumaki's forehead. "You're looking very pale."

The feeling if Yuzuki's hand on her forehead snapped the woman out of her trance. She shook her head numbly, "I'm just a little surprised is all. Do you think... Kakashi will want to have a baby?"

The Hatake thought about it for a moment, the man was thirty-four years old and a ninja. He was always very focused on his job, and would frequently jump into a fight even if the odds were stacked against him because that was his duty. But, he did immediately take Yuzuki in upon realizing that she was his and did his best to take care of her. She knew that, above all, he would have liked to see her grow up. There was no doubt that Kakashi would want to have another child to have a second chance at parenthood.
