Percy's POV:

I woke up the next morning feeling depressed. It was supposed to be my Annie May's 17th birthday today. The only problem was that she died.

I had managed to get the day off for me and Nico. When I got down to the common room I found Nico sitting in the arm chair, that was positioned in front of the fire.

I cleared my throat behind him, "You ready?"

"Yeah. Lets go." He held onto my arm and shadow travelled me back to Central Park. Back to where it happened.

We were standing in this grove, it was a dense, untouched by humans, section of the park. It had this clearing in the center. It was perfectly rounded, Kronos had us captured at different times during the war. As I stood there the memory came back.

~FLASHBACK~

I was grabbed from behind, a sudden pain in my head knocked me put cold.

When I came around I was tied to a tree in a clearing. I didn't think that it was possible for New York to have such a place. But here I was. I looked around. Lying on the ground in the center of the clearing was a girl, she looked vaguely familiar. Then it hit me. It was my Annie May. She seemed to be fighting with herself, her voice kept changing at first it was her voice then a deeper, more ancient one.

"Get out!"

"Never. Give yourself over to me. Lord Kronos."

"No!" Then she screamed.

"Annie May!"

She looked towards me. "I'm sorry Percy." Then she stabbed herself. Suddenly my bonds were gone.

I rushed over, "No! Annie! Please don't die! I need you. I love you." I was full on bawling at this point.

"It was the only way. I love you too, Seaweed Brain." Then she went limp in my arms.

~END_FLASHBACK~

I was sitting on the ground right where my poor, poor Annie had died. I still couldn't believe that I had just sat there as my Annie May stabbed and killed herself. She was the hero of the Titan war. Everyone said that I was, but I had watched my Annie May give up her life to stop Kronos.

Nico put a hand on my shoulder. "Come on man. Do you want to see her?"

"No." I shook my head. Seeing her would only make my life ten times harder.

"Ok. It's getting late. Do you still want to visit Olympus?" Nico asked.

"Yeah. Lets go." We walked out into Central Park. Twenty minutes later we were standing outside the Empire State Building.

I walked over to the front desk. "600th floor, don't give me any nonsense I'm not in a good mood."

The security hard stared at me weirdly. "Umm, sure. You know how to do it?"

"Yes. Now where's the key?" I was getting impatient.

"Here. Have a nice day." I stormed over to the elevator, pushed the key card in and pressed the button for the 600th floor.

The elevator music was terrible as always. The doors opened with a pleasant 'ding!' I stepped out and walked straight over to Iris who was standing in the garden. Iris always managed to cheer me up. Twenty minutes later.

"If we're going to make it back for dinner we might want to leave now." Nico said suddenly popping up.

"Yeah, ok. Bye, Iris." I grabbed Nico by the hand and he shadow traveled us back to Hogwarts. More specifically the Entrance Hall. We scared a few first years out of their little minds. "Lets go to dinner."

We walked off into the Great Hall and took our seats.

I'm sorry it's so short and sad. I was tearing up while writing this. And NO Annabeth will not end up a demigod. I'm not to sure about wether Percabeth will appear but most likely not.

If you have any requests or ideas for me please comment. I read every single one. It makes me happy to think that so many people enjoy my book.
