Dan's POV:

I can't believe I'm working Olivia! It's been like 4 years since we've seen each other and she hasn't changed one bit. When I saw her all I felt was anger towards her. When she looked at me all I saw was hatred coming from her big brown eyes. We were friends then I said some terrible things about her, like calling her a bitch. But her being a bitch was true. At uni she wasn't really the nicest person at times and I stuck by her side because I was her friend. After we stopped speaking we ended up working at a coffee shop and she got me fired. You know what she told our manager? She told him that I urinated in the coffee machine! Can you believe that shit? I tried defending myself and our boss was not having it, and Olivia was behind him smirking. And that's the reason why she is a bitch.

After work, I met up with Kyle, Will, and Woody at the pub.

"So how was your first day as an entertainment editor?" Kyle asked excitedly.

"It was good until I saw a familiar face," I said flatly.

"Who?" Woody asked.

"Was it an ex?" Will touch my shoulder.

"Well, an ex-friend. Olivia, the one that got me fired."

"Oh." they all said in unison.

"Yeah, and we're sitting next to each other, so that makes it even worse," I said running my hand through my hair.

"Maybe she doesn't remember you," Kyle responded.

"Oh, she remembered me alright." I sipped my beer. "So what have you guys been up to?" I asked changing the topic.

"Well, Janna and I are moving into a flat together!" Kyle smiled.

"That's great dude! When are you moving in?" I asked.

"Next week," Kyle smiled.

We chatted some more about our jobs and other things that have happened in our lives until it was time to go.

When I got home, I took out a ready meal out the fridge and put in the microwave. I have so many ready meals in my fridge, it is ridiculous. While my meal was in the microwave, I turned the TV on How to get away with murder - which is my favourite show. I got changed and went back to the kitchen to my meal which was now done. After eating, I watched a bit more TV then went to bed.

~~~~
I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear. I smiled thinking about my second day at my new job, then it slowly faded as I remembered that I'll be working with Olivia. I groaned as I got out of bed and got ready for work. I was running late, so I grabbed an apple and left.
I made it to work just in time. I walked in and Olivia is nowhere to be found. "Hmm, she's probably off today," I said to myself as I put my bag down on my desk and made my way to the toilet. I turned the corner and I bumped into someone. "Sorry," We both said. The woman looked up and it was Olivia. We stared at each other for a couple seconds until she cleared her throat and brushed past me. "Okay," I mumbled under my breath.
Coming back from the toilet, I made my way to the coffee machine and made myself a cup. Then one of my co-workers, I think his name was James approached me. He was slightly shorter than me, with blond hair and a ginger beard.
"Hey Dan," He said.
"Hey," I answered.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come to a little party I'm having at my place tonight?" He asked.
"Yeah, that would be wicked and it's a great way to get to know you guys a bit more," I smiled.
"That is true. I'll see you tonight then." He smiled walking back to his workspace
I was happy to be going to the party, deep down, I was terrified. I'm not that great with social settings, but once I get a drink in me, I should be able to relax. I hope.
Hey, hoped you liked this chapter! Do you think Olivia is gonna be at the party?
