I finally got home from school and crawled into bed sobbing my eyes out. I kept my eyes on the rope wondering if it was something I should actually use.

My heart was shattered.

I've cut on a daily basis, but never to the point where I knew I should end my life like I was feeling now.

There was a knock at the door, I felt panicked and bandaged up my arms and rubbed my face attempting to get rid of the red blotches everywhere from crying. I failed.

When I opened the door to see Ethan. "Bra-" I cut him off by shutting the door on his face, but I was too slow and he stopped it from shutting. He came in uninvited, and pulled me by the arm to talk to him. I winced at the pain from the pressure on my cuts and he gave me a confused look, but ignored it.

"Brandy, we really need to talk." I avoided eye contact with him, as he began to speak.

"I had no idea they put that there." He said concerned.

"Well you won." I said quietly.

"What do you mean I won? Won what?"

"You pushed me off the ledge. I don't want to be here anymore." He again looked confused until he caught on to what I was saying.

"No, No, No. I will not let you!"

"Ethan it's what you've always wanted. Whether you say or not. I'm done."

"No stop it! That's not what I want!" He grabbed my arm again to be affectionate and I winced again at the pain.

He caught on, once again, and pulled up my sleeve.

"Stop it! This is not your business! Get out of my house."

He got up and walked out slowly.
