About a half hour later, we were still in the same position. I felt my heart pounding in my chest, making it feel impossible to breathe. Thank you panic attack, for coming at the best possible time. Ugh.
The worst part? Hearing that door fly open, and seeing the man waltzing through our school like a wreak-less beast. He was dressed in all black, but I could see his face.
He had dark brown hair, almost black, and piercing brown eyes. He looked soulless.
No one said a word as he entered our class room, we stayed as silent as possible. You could tell he felt so powerful, and unstoppable. He wasn't afraid to do what he wanted.
He looked at my teacher, smiled, and BOOM. The shooters second victim had been chosen.
A few people screamed out of fear when he shot our teacher right in front of us.
"Who is next?" He said viciously. "No volunteers, alright then."
He Began shooting rapidly throughout the class, as I felt a body collide with mine. I opened my eyes to see Ethan had jumped on top of me, so I was lying on my back, and his face was buried in my neck, so that my body was protected.
I felt his body tense up every time we heard a shot get fired. Both of our eyes stayed shut tight, afraid of what we might see if we open them.
We heard the door open, and shut, and we realized he had left our class room, but we weren't safe yet. He was still in the building.
Both Ethan and I were still breathing heavily, and remained in the same position even though the shooter had left.
I moved my arms so they were wrapped around his neck. I was afraid to move, I was afraid the shooter would hear me sit up. Yet I knew we had to get out of the school.
