Chapter 19; Ultrasounds

*Kameron’s P.O.V*

I pulled into the parking lot of the doctor’s office at exactly 8:00 exactly on time for my appointment. I hadn’t bothered with dressing up for this; I threw on a pair of blue jeans, a small t-shirt, and a pair of vans. I straightened my hair just to make it look presentable and put on my usual eye make-up. I looked sort of like myself again, only less happy.

I walked through the door and I was immediately greeted by an old cheery looking woman sitting behind a desk, she looked like she was in her mid sixties. I smiled at her and signed the appointment sheet, before she told me to have a seat and wait for my name to be called.

I sat down in the waiting room and decided I would call Max before I was called back, I dialed his number and he picked up on the second ring.

“Hey Kammy, what’s up?” He said into the phone, I could tell he was in a good mood today.

“I just wanted to let you know I’m at the doctor to get my ultra sound and everything. I thought you’d want to know I was here.” I answered.

“OH! Do you think they’ll let you Facetime me?? I wanna see the…I wanna see that movie.” He said, changing his words as I heard someone walk through the room.

“I think they might, I can ask.” I said, a few seconds later a doctor poked her head out of a door and called my name. “Hold on, don’t hang up. I’m going to ask the doctor.” I said and he ‘uh huhed’ me. I stood up and walked over to the doctor, she had a smile on her face as I approached her.

“Hey, I was wondering, My brother’s on tour and he really wanted to see my first ultrasound, would It be alright if I face timed him while you’re doing it?” I asked, and she smiled brightly.

“Of course sweetheart, that’s perfectly fine.” She said sweetly.

“Thank you. Okay Max, I’m about to facetime you now okay?” I said and he ‘uh huhed’ me again. I rolled my eyes and hit the facetime option on my phone as the doctor led me to a room and made me lay down on this table, with my shirt up over my belly. Max answered face time quickly and I stuck my tongue out at him, he flicked me off and then smiled at me.

I could hear people walking around in the background, but he had headphones in so they couldn’t hear what was being said thank god.

“Okay, so this is going to be reeeallly cold.” The doctor smiled sweetly, I hit the switch camera button on my phone and turned it to my belly so Max could see what she was doing.

“SHIT! Yeah that’s cold.” I said when the gel hit my stomach and I heard Max’s laughter through the phone.

“Okay, well here we go. You ready to see a baby?” She smiled, and I nodded cautiously. I turned the camera towards the computer screen that was beside the bed I was lying on as she ran something across my stomach. A few seconds passed and she pointed to something on the screen, “There it is. Look at that Momma, its incredible isn’t it?” She smiled at me as I stared at the screen in amazement. You could hardly tell what it was but you could tell it was there.

“That’s effing cute.” Max said through the speaker, and I looked at the screen and saw he had a small smile on his face. I heard someone in the back ground, it sounded like Robert.

“Is that Kam?” Robert asked. “Yeah.” Max replied honestly, “I wanna talk to her!” Two voices shouted.

“No! She’s having a breakdown it’s really ugly, she doesn’t wanna talk to you guys...Go away!” Max shouted and I heard some muffled responses but then Max returned his attention to the screen. “Sorry about that Kammy.” He said and I told him it was okay.
