Pessimistic

The scientist said: "Come in. There is no way out."

The sergeant turned mad: "Why don't you just drive back? You are heading towards your own end."

"Drive back? It won't make a difference. Believe me."

"You must be out of your mind. I am coming in but I will leave the truck once I find a sane driver."

The sergeant got on the truck with the hope to find a transport along the way. He said "What do you mean by it won't make a difference. Life and death are poles apart."

The historian broke in. "Nice to meet you. Even one death is different from another. My friend and her colleagues have predicted that there is no more choice as life."

"So where are those colleagues? It looks like you two are the only ones on this planet wanting to die."

The scientist said: "Haven't you heard the last minute search hashtag? There are thousands of people trying to reach Mohenjo-Daro. Do you want to die in fear or with people who look for a meaning even at the last minute?"

"I followed that hashtag until the internet was off three days ago but I don't believe you. Nobody will be there. And that is not even important because this hazard will only be a local disaster and people will be fine after all. Your pessimism is pointless."

The historian said: "You are the one being pessimistic. Lots of people will make their way just like us. If we as two old women can make it why can't many others do it as well?"
