"Sure, I bet it'll be fun." The lie rolled smooth as silk over Cynth's half-moon lips. The guy smiled and walked off unaware of the fake smile the angel gave him, she had already forgotten his name.

They were three weeks down on the school year and today someone had been brave enough to invite her on a date. It was one of Jacin's friends, he had seen him with her and thus inquired about her relationship status.

He had proposed ice-skating and wanting to discover all the ways it could gone wrong she acceded. They were meeting on Friday after class.

She refused to tell him her last class in fear he would walk over and see her wings. Her life was a mess enough and she didn't want all that extra attention, so they were to meet at the front doors.

Without much else to look forward than evening training and homework till Friday, Cynth went into school-slave mode till the end of the week.

                                 ~
The stage during painting when is all about detailing small bits of the work itself was Cynth's favorite and most hated part of painting at all.

Everything could go so good and then go to hell in .3 seconds. One bad stroke of paint and your life could be declared as over.

If she was about to start cursing like she was in a rap concert if things went wrong she would have to go outside the arts classroom.

After she was granted permission to paint outside she looked for Killian's guitar classroom. Instead she found him on a hallway playing his instrument with awesome skill.

He paused upon spotting her, "morning," He scooped over so they could share the bench. "Ready for your date?" His expression turned dark and cold upon mentioning this.

She sighed and caressed his arm, "We're only going ice-skating it's not that extreme of a date." She said hoping to convince him it was alright and she was not going to waste the rest of the school year with him.

"And," she added with a mischievous grin elongating the vowels. "If he leans in for a kiss before the night is over I'll leave immediately." She said through looking at him through her lashes.

"You promise?" He said doubtingly. "Else I'm going on a date with the prettiest of the girls in the school, and I'll kiss her." He snickered.

Cynth nudged him, "But that's not the reason I came here, I came to finish listen you play using my painting as an excuse to come out." She smiled expectantly.

"As my lady wishes it." And that's the only warning she received before beautiful notes started coming out of the guitar.

She forgot how to breathe as the music filled her eyes, her soul. And just when she knew it couldn't get better Killian began singing. They were beautiful tones and sorrowful ones, as if he was indeed an angel.

It ended before she could really become accustomed to the melody. "Wow" was the only breathless sound that came out of Cynth's mouth.

"Did you like it?" Asked Killian with a giant blush.

"What, are you kidding me? It's the best music I've ever heard!" Cynth babbled excited. "Can you do it again? I think I can paint a masterpiece with your music. Gather every note and weave it into my painting."

And so Killian played again and again while Cynth did what she had claimed lost in a sea of melodies and lullabies.

Cynth was no longer excited about the date. She just wanted to hear Killian play and paint. But that was no longer an option because she turned the corner and saw her date for tonight.

"Hey," Cynth offered while she eyed him up and down. He was handsome for a human, he was tall and had an easy smile. He rocked a pair of hazel eyes and a deeper town of brown for his hair color.

"Hey Cynth, are you ready?" He gave one of those smiles now and she couldn't help giving one of her own assenting with her head.

On the way to the ice-rink they talked about things they had in common. It turned out they had a similar music taste. "There's no way that you like this band, are you serious?" Cynth raised an eyebrow in a silent question.

"I swear upon my honor that I do. Here, you might like this songs as well." Senteri showed the violet-eyed girl new songs for her playlist that she loved.

They watched a comedy movie mainly so that Cynth could laugh at something else than Senteri's poor excuse of flirting. He was fun to have around but she couldn't see herself dating him, better to make a new friend instead of sending it all to the trash with a relationship.

In-between fun scenes talking about other movies that they liked was the most current topic. Sooner than Cynth thought the movie was over and the pair started walking the streets walking towards her house.

Once they were walking through a park Cynth decided it was time to break apart, "Here is fine, you don't have to walk me home." She objected slowing her walk to a stop.

"Are you sure? It's fairly late now and I would feel more comfortable knowing you're home." He stopped too and looked at her intently.

"Well this area is quite safe, besides I have to do some grocery shopping, well more like shopping for more personal hygiene stuff you know." She raised her eyebrows waiting for him to take the hint.

"Oh" was all he said for almost a minute. He then remembered Cynth was still here and blushing a deep red he added, "Right, sure, I guess you feel better shopping alone." Senteri scratched the back of his neck.

"Yes! I like to have some privacy when it comes to that topic." She was fidgeting with her fingers now. "Um, I really had a good time today. Thank you, for inviting me." She looked up from her fingers to find him looking at her.

"I had a shit ton of fun too, whenever you feel like it we can hang out." He added smiling for like the millionth time today.

"Sounds like a plan, again thanks. I'll see you on Monday." She went in a kiss in the cheek and a hug and with that they parted ways.
