Harley sauntered through the rooms of the lavish club. The walls were coated with gold wallpaper, hints of black seeping through the gaps. She entered the master bedroom that sat hauntingly at the end of the narrow hall, dark wood inviting anyone inside. The large black king sized bed sat magnificently in the middle of the room. It's mahogany wood keeping it from collapsing.
Harley let out a quiet sigh of relaxation as she sat on the soft sheets. Running her hand down the smooth silk, letting it glide through her fingers. A warm smile spread across her lips. She closed her eye lids, tugging on the bottom of her diamond sparkling dress that was fitted comfortably on her body. She brought one of her hands to her arm gently unclipping the tight metal bracelet that was clutching onto her pale skin.
She unclipped and unhooked the abundance of jewellery that was clinging to her all night. It was all neatly placed on her dresser on the far side of the room. She looked over to the digital clock, eyes beaming with joy. The Joker should be closing the club any minute.
"Puddin' should be back soon." She whispered to herself standing up from the bed and shuffling towards the door. She waited patiently outside, hand grasped around the door frame. The club speakers blared from below, the beat rushing around Harley's body like electricity. She laced her hand in her hair, pulling at her roots irritably.
A deep sigh escaped her parted lips. Her head spun on her shoulders, her eyes dry from tiredness as she read the time on the clock. It had only been 5 minutes. Losing hope, she spun on her heel, shutting the door. But before she could admit herself to sleep she heard the twist of a door knob. She quickly spun around to face a rather unenthusiastic Clown, who's eye lids hung low in exhaustion. He rubbed his orbs with the palm of his hand, muttering incoherent words under his breath. His white unbuttoned shirt hung loosely to his body, his trademark grin no where to be seen.
Harley's eyes squinted with pure joy as she skipped over, leaping into his arms while he stumbled to catch her. "Puddin'!" She greeted as he wrapped his arm under her knee, the other holding firmly onto her back. She placed a kiss on his lips before he could even speak. A wide grin from ear to ear playing on her red ruby lips.
He let out a breathless chuckle as she jumped back down looking up at him in question. He rolled his eyes playfully, tucking a stray strand of platinum hair behind her ear.
"I'm sorry Harls. I was quite occupied at the club tonight." He sighed as his eye lids grew heavy and his orbs felt dry. For the past few days the club was making a deficit. Not enough money was coming in then going out, despite the Jokers desperate attempts to change his spending ways. Heists would fail, or half the money they expected to receive wouldn't be in the banks. The staff count was also deteriorating, either from them getting on the Jokers bad side with his hot temper, or simply quitting, meaning they got shot right between the eyes.
Harley saw he defeat in his eyes and gave a soft smile. She placed her hand on his cheek nodding slowly. "Don't worry Puddin', we'll be back on track in no time." She whispered kissing his cheek as she grabbed his hand leading him back to their bedroom.
He started to shut his eyes as he was dragged down the hall and past empty rooms until they met the door of their master bedroom. Harley with her free hand pushed it open, the all too familiar creek echoing through the room. It was dark, the only source of light escaping from the hall, casting a long narrow ray across the wooden floor boards.
Harley untangled her fingers from his hand as she went to her side of the bed, switching on the dim lamp she looked over to him at the corner of her eye. She could see the exhaustion through his body language. Shoulders slumped, head low and hands carelessly fumbling at the last few buttons on his white shirt that was half exposing his toned chest. The drinks from the night were kicking in now making him feel drowsy.
Harley ambled over to him. Taking his hands in her own she slowly placed them by his sides, gazing up into his face. His grey irises were barely visible as his eyelids fell. The rest of his face remained emotionless as she began to unbutton the rest of the fabric sitting on his torso. She lifted it off, discarding the clothing in a heap by his dresser in the corner of the room.
She moved onto his pants unclipping his black belt and tossing it beside the shirt. She pulled his trousers down revealing his dark purple, loose boxers gripping onto his waist. He lifted one foot over the other as his shoes slipped off followed by his socks. Harley pulled the trousers down sliding them across the wooden floor to the rest of his outfit. She let out a sigh as she finally finished undressing the perfectly capable man standing before her. She gripped onto the tips of his fingers, pulling him down to position him beside her on the bed.
He lay on his back curling an arm under her shoulders as she rolled over to face him. She smiled contently as he kissed her on the head.
"Goodnight Mr.J." She said in a hushed tone placing her two hands in front of her face. "I love you.." She added slowly drifting off into a deep slumber.
"Goodnight Harley."
