Sometimes the best therapy is just a pen and paper...
Or a good pillow to cry on...
Or a hard wall to break your knuckles against...
Or a pet to talk to - trust me, that goldfish is a good listener, even though you can't see its ears... And your dog, it totally understands you that's why it's quiet when you vent.
And you know that lizard crawling up the brick walls outside, it's dying for a conversation with you... Go say hi... And tell it how you feel - you'll feel better, trust me.
And when all of that fails
You can always look for a poem
That expressed how you feel...
And you'll feel better
That I know for sure
Because poetry is more than just words.
It's numerous voices
Expressing what many can't express -
Or are too afraid to express.
Whatever you're feeling...
Its been inked on some form of paper
Now go find it
And idolize it for a couple of hours
Till the feelings subside
Because sometimes
The best therapy
Is poetry.
