She leaves
Your heart sieves
Out all the memories
In the form of poetry
Onto lots of paper
Which you revisit when you find another so you can tape her
Golden heart to your hand
And make your feelings land
With a resonance
That's makes her innards joyfully dance
And zeroes any other guy's chance.
You revisit the poems
Because it's where your mistakes erect homes
And when there's a bump with the new one
You'll make sure she's not gone
Like the other before your love's done -
During your love's dawn.
