Criminal Minds: Gideon finds love

Capítulo 22- The Wedding

The church was beautiful, on the floor a carpet and red roses had been laid. Everything was simple and refined, had the richness and charm without anything extravagant as one day Mia had dreamed.

Mia stared at the mirror as Kate lowered the veil behind her and Mia held the bouquet in her hands.

"You're finally going to get married, then it's me." Kate said, smiling with tears in her eyes. Kate hugged Mia and said, "Today is your day Mia and I really want you to be happy with Jason."

Jason was looking down the path to the altar, increasingly apprehensive of Mia's delay. Would Mia leave Gideon now? Did Mia want to spend her life with him or run away now?

"she is coming." Kate warns by standing next to Richard, looking forward.

Gideon always saw in the movies the glances that the couples exchanged until the bride arrived at the altar, conveying everything they felt and what they did not feel.

But now ... now that Mia was staring at him with that look he always knew and always understood. They did not give silent oaths of love, they never carried promises in the eye, and they never missed the word they gave to each other.

It was their way of loving, communicating, transmitting feelings, with loving words. It was just her and him, their way.

Gideon felt a surge of excitement as he heard the notes of the wedding march ringing through the church and when the congregration turned to see Mia crossing the hallway with Rossi, since Mia had no one to take her to the altar, Gideon asked her best Friend, David Rossi to take it, his whole team was there, to little Jack.

Gideon looked gorgeous in his new suit, Mia thought and her face lit up in a huge smile as he turned to look at her. Suddenly all the problems of the last minutes and the stresses of the last months disappeared when Rossi put Mia's hand in Gideon's hand, which held it in a comforting touch.

"Take care of her," Rossi said in a smile.

"I'll take care of it." Said Gideon, and they both hugged each other.

When everyone knelt to listen to the priest begin the ceremony.

Gideon's eyes gleamed. Maybe he would have fallen on himself and realized that at last he would be happy, eventually things would be as they should have been a long time before.

"Jason Gideon, do you accept Mia Jacobs as your future wife, promise to love her and repeat it, in joy and sorrow, health and sickness, poverty and wealth until death do you part?" Asks the priest.

"I accept." Said Gideon.

"Mia Jacobs, do you accept Jason Gideon as your future husband, promise to love him and repeat it, in joy and sorrow, health and sickness, poverty and wealth until death do you part?"

"I accept." Said Mia.

"Can say the vows and put the alliances together." Said the Father.

Gideon looked at Mia and said, "Mia, today we will become husband and wife. I wanted you to know that for me you were a gift from God and now that we are going to share our lives, my days will be full of joy at your side. Before God and all, I promise that I will be your friend, companion and confidant to share your hopes and dreams with you. I promise to be faithful, support you in difficult times and stay with you in joy and sadness, health and Illness for the rest of my life. " He said and put the ring on her finger.

Now it was Mia's turn to do the same, she picked up the line and looked into Gideon's eyes and said, "Jason, my love, from now on I'll share my life with you." I promise to be faithful and sincere. With affection and dedication so that our home is a refuge of peace and tranquility.And when difficulties arise, I will always be by your side to support you and confront you.I promise to love you and respect you and take care of you with All love and affection until the end of our lives. " She said and put the ring on Gideon's finger.

"If there is anyone who has something against this union, speak now or shut up forever." Said the priest and as no one opposed it he continued. "Well, then, with the power that God has given me, I declare you husband and wife. You can kiss the bride."

Gideon drew mine and kissed her gently on the mouth.

After the wedding, they went to the party after the wedding. The first dance was a waltz danced by the bride and groom, then classical music as always. There were cakes, sweets, well-married, etc. At the end of the party was the cut of the wedding cake Mia and Jason cut the cake at the same time and both with their right hand to bring luck at the wedding. The first slice Gideon gave it to his son, Stephen. And then his team and the rest of the staff.

The party ended with the newlyweds going to their honeymoon.
