RANZ WAS IN A GOOD MOOD AS HE STEPS IN THE ELEVATOR. It's been a week and everything's been okay. Well, his everyday has been okay. And it's because of a certain someone.
Pagkatapos nung maliit na hindi nila pagkakaintindihan nang sekretarya ay bumalik na lahat sa normal-- almost normal.
He still teases his secretary, and it seemed like a normal thing for him to do so. Natutuwa kasi siya kapag naiinis ito. And she always have that witty remarks whenever he annoys her. And it entertains him.
He plastered a grin as he stepped out from the elevator, ready to annoy her when he noticed she wasn't on her station. Baka nasa opisina niya. With that thought he hurried inside but stopped when it wasn't her he found.
"Good morning, Sir!" Masiglang bati ni Bettina. He returned the courtesy and walked to his table. "I've already prepared all the files you need to sign. And your schedules for the day as well."
"Ahm.. Where's thé-- Ms. Rudero?" hindi niya mapigilang itanong.
Nagtataka lang siya at wala ito ngayon. It's very unlikely of her.
"Pasensya na po, Sir. Hindi na po nakapagpaalam si Grazzle. Nagmamadali po kasi sila kanina. Dalawang araw po siyang mawawala para sa team building nang branch nila. Biglaan po kasi ang pagreschedule nila. Humingi na po siya ng permiso kay Ma'am Amanda. I will be filling her duties for two days." litanya nito.
She'll be gone for two days and she didn't even bother telling me? Ni hindi man lang ito tumawag! Eh mabuti pa ang lola niya na kahit wala sa bansa ay alam kung nasaan ang sekretarya niya!
"Sir?"
He blinked away his thoughts and sat up properly. "Thank you, Bettina. You can go back to your station."
Mukhang hesitant pa ito pero kaagad namang tumalima. "Sir?" Tawag pansin nito nang nasa nay pintuan na. "Pagpasensyahan niyo na po si Grazzle. Hindi po kasi namin alam ang personal number ninyo."
Saglit siyang natigilan sa sinabi nito. Saka lang nag sink in sa kanya na hindi niya pa pala naibibigay ang bagong number niya. Stupid him! Tango lang ang sinagot niya dito bago nito tuluyang isara ang pinto. He leaned back and sighed heavily.
This will be a long day.
Napahilot si Ranz sa batok matapos ang meeting sa isang investor. Nakakapagod ang umupo lang at makipag-usap. Yumuko siya sa conference table at tinitigan ang relo. He groaned upon noticing that it's only been an hour and a half since he arrived at the office.
Pero heto at pakiramdam niya ay walong oras na siyang nandoon.
Napasubsob siya sa mesa, ang eksenang nadatnan nang sekretarya niyang si Bettina.
"Boss? Anong nangyari? Okay lang po kayo?" May pag-aalala sa boses nito.
Nag-angat lang siya saglit nang tingin bago ibinalik ang atensyon sa mesa. "I'm bored."
