Ash Pov

     "You're early,"I said while opening the door for my boyfriend and daughter.

     "I know, but Heli wanted the three of us to go out for breakfast together,"Johnny said while motioning to Heliotrope. I looked at my child, she just smiled. I laughed and shook my head.

     "You are lucky," I told her,"I woke up early this morning. Let's go." I locked the door and followed Johnny and Heliotrope to the truck. I sat in the passenger seat, Johnny's driving and Heliotrope is in the back. Johnny drove us to one of the small coffee shops that's on the way to the theatre.

     "You sit at one of the tables. I'll take Heliotrope to order. I already know what you want,"Johnny said.

     "Okay,"I responded. I sat down at one of the outside tables, waiting for Johnny and Heliotrope. I played a game on my phone to try passing time.

     "Ash!"

     Crap, that's Lance. I don't want to deal with him right now, or ever again.

     "Ash! I didn't know you would be here at this time,"Lance said in a flirty way.

     "Go away,"I responded bluntly, still staring at my phone screen. (Damn, savage much)

     "Really Ash, what do I have to do for you to forgive me. I said that I'm sorry,"Lance complained. I turned off my phone and put it away. I turned to Lance and stood up.

     "You cheated on me,"I said in my still blunt voice,"you expect me to forgive you after you did something like that. I will not be forgiving you anytime soon, so just leave."

     I saw that Lance was about to say something, but then I got attacked in a side hug.

     "Momma,"Heli said. While still  holding onto my side.

     "Hi Heli,"I told her and hugged her back.

    "Wow, you have a child,"Lance said disgustedly,"At least it wasn't with that Johnny guy."

     "Oh, you mean Dadda?"Heliotrope asked Lance. Lance got this weird look on his face and I had to keep myself from bursting out in laughter. Then at the perfect moment, Johnny walked to my side. "Now that your here Dadda, we can eat then go to practice."

     I smiled at my child. I looked back towards Lance and noticed that he was backing away. Slowly, but still backing away.

     "Come on,"I said,"let's eat." We sat down at the table while Johnny passed around the food.

     "Ash?"Johnny asked.

     "Yeah,"I responded looking up at him.

     "You dealt with him okay?"Johnny asked while caressing my check and pushing a few of my quills out of my face.

"Yes,"I said,"I'm fine."

"Momma, Dadda?"Heliotrope asked. We nodded towards her. "Who was that?"

"Someone from the past, it's not important right now. Maybe when your older Heli,"I told her. She nodded with a smile and started eating her food.
