False Alarm

Carl's Pov.

I woke up the morning realizing that Samantha was still sleeping with me. Her head was laying against my chest, listening to my heartbeat. I smiled and played with her hair. I heard others awake but I didn't want to move to wake her up. She had a rough night last night. I actually wanted to know more about her dream.
I sighed thinking about it and I let it go.
I looked at her again, taking in her beautiful features. Her long, brunette hair, her perfectly shaped jawline. I was falling for her. But who can be in love during an apocalypse? There wasn't any time for that. But, I didn't Care.
I kissed her head and she started to move. I smiled and her eyes started to flutter open.
"Morning." I whispered to her and she giggled lightly.
"Morning." she replied back and went back down onto my chest.


Samantha's Pov.

I woke up on Carl's bed. Oh yeah, I forgot. I was happy and thankful for him. Man, did he look cute when he was sleepy. We exchanged our good mornings but I laid my head back down.
Carl giggled and started tracing things on my back. That sent chills down my spine, but I enjoyed it. I sighed and looked up at him, my chin on his chest.
"What?" he asked smiling.
I chuckled and shook my head.
"It's..... nothing." I said trying to hide my red cheeks.
"Tell me!" he said playfully and he started tickling me.
"Carl! Oh my god! S-s-stoppp! " I laughed and that's when Rick and Lori came in.
We looked at them and they were both smiling and Rick lifted an eyebrow.
"Um, I just wanted to tell you guys breakfast is ready. We made oats." Lori said giggling. I looked at her belly and man, she was ready to pop. I smiled and Rick winked at Carl.
"Dad! Stop!" he joked and he started blushing. I stood up from his bed.
"We'll be right there." I answered and they nodded and giggled and left.
I looked over at Carl who's head was buried in the pillow.
"Oh my gosh... they are so embarrassing." he whispered loud enough for me to hear. I chuckled and poked at him.
"It's fine. I gotta get dressed." I said waiting for him to get out.
"Okay. Ill not look at you." he said smiling.
I laughed and shook my head.
"Fine, but if I see you looking." O warned him jokingly.
He put his hands up and faced the wall from his bed. I faced the other way and stripped my pants off and put on a pair of black yoga pants and then I took off my shirt. I was looking through my bag to find my favorite off shoulder shirt.
"Are you done yet?" Carl asked looking at me. "Oh, sorry."
I looked at him and giggled and bit my lip.
"It's fine." I found my shirt and placed it on and told him he can look now. He checked out my outfit and I noticed him do that.
He licked his lips and stood up.
"Lets go." I said and he he followed me out the cell.
We were next to each other walking down the stair case to find everyone up and eating.
Once we got there everyone smiled at us like they know something.
"Hey guys. " we both said and they all said "hey!" or "hi's!". We sat down on the chairs and we ate in silence until My brother spoke up.
"So, how did you guys sleep?" he asked smirking.
Carl looked at me and then to his parents.
"Who said something? " he asked and Lori laughed.
"I just had too! You guys are too cute!" she answered and I blushed.
"We- we aren't dating! I just had a bad dream last night and he was just you know, Helping me." I said and everyone laughed and nodded. Justin shrugged and Beth was of course, sitting next to him.
"So, how about you two, huh?" I asked Justin obviously about him and Beth.
Beth shook her head. "Nothing! were just Friends!" she said smiling.
"Mhhm." I giggled and everyone ate their food.

We all finished eating, talking when Hershel came out of his cell with crutches. We all stood up and Beth and Maggie went to him. They hugged him and helped him over.
"We made you food." Glenn said holding up a bowl of oats. We all smiled and Hershel came and sat down.
