Meeting Everyone

Samantha's Pov.

We followed the man to the opening of the gate, obviously killing a few walkers on the way.

I stood next to my brother who stood next to the Korean boy. I took a deep breath getting nervous.

Things were running through my mind.

We're they nice? Would they let us stay? Are we needed?

I was thinking to much that I didn't even notice we were standing not even three feet away from everyone.

I looked around to see about 8-10 people in a circle. I smiled nervously looking away.

"Guys this here is Justin, and over here is Samantha." The man with the stubbled beard pointed at me. I waved at them saying hi in a low voice. Everyone all said hey or hi or hello.

"Come sit with us." A young blonde girl who looked around 17 said patting the ground. Justin went and sat when I looked over at a young boy who looked my age. He was staring at me, looking from my head to toe. He bit his lip and caught me looking at him. I did the same and sat next to my brother and I sat in between Justin and the boy. Man, was he cute. His brown shaggy hair, his cute face and let's not forget about his oceanic blue eyes. I could drown into them.

I sat there quiet when the man started to introduce everyone.

"Im Rick, and this is Glenn." as he pointed to the Korean man. "And this is Lori, Beth, Maggie, Hershel, T-Dog, Carol, Daryl, and this over here is my son Carl." he pointed at him. I waved to everyone and looked at Carl.

"Hi." I said shyly.

"Hey." he answered smiling at me.

I grinned and inched forward to the fire.

Lori, who looked pregnant was trying to make conversation.

"So how old are you guys?" she asked with a friendly grin.

"Im fourteen. My birthday is in another 2 Months as I believe. " I giggled and so did everyone else.

"Im 19." Justin said looking at Beth. I lifted an eyebrow at him and he winked at me. Oh God.

"Im 14, too!" Carl said suddenly. Everyone laughed and I smiled. He turned red becoming probably embarrassed.

"Where did you guys come from?" Maggie asked while hand in hand with Glenn.

"To be honest, we just walked from our last place we stayed at and walked for 12 hours around before ending up here. We um... we lost our parents so we had to learn to do things by ourselves." I said looking at the grass under my feet. I glanced over to Justin who was turning a bit pale. Everyone stood quiet.

"Im sorry. We also Lost loved ones." Rick said and I nodded my head.

Carl looked at me and sighed.

"Im sorry to hear that. " he smirked at me and I looked at him.

"Thank you." I began to blush but I hid it.

I wanted to ask questions of my own so I did.

"So why are you guys camping out here when there's a huge building over here? " I asked.

"We actually just found this place today." Rick said smiling. He looked proud of finding this place.

"Tomorrow morning we will clear up the inside of the building." he added and everyone nodded.

Everyone had their tents up so Justin got help from Glenn to set ours up.

It was late at night and we were exchanging stories about life before hell. I had told one embarrassing story Of myself from school.

"So I was nervous about presenting my science board around 150 Students in the gym class and thank god I had my friend up with me. So I started stuttering and I felt my stomach gurgle. All of the sudden, a loud roar came from the gym and you know what that was? It was a "toot"! Everyone was laughing and even though it was me, I said loudly in the microphone, Stacy that's nasty! trying to blame her. And ever since that, Everyone called her smelly Stacy. I did feel bad though." I said and when I finished everyone was dying from laughter. I even got Carl laughing. About a minute after everyone quieted down, except for Carl. He was crying from laughing to much.

"Was it that funny?" I asked him giggling because his laugh was to cute.

He nodded his head and leaned it against my shoulder. I tensed up, but released and bit my lip. He took a breath of air and his laugh got quieter and quieter until he finished.

He lifted his head up after realizing where is head was.

"Sorry about that." he smiled.

"No it's fine." I said touching his arm.

"You two look like you guys will get along pretty well." Lori said smiling. I nodded my head and he did too.

Thirty minutes later everyone headed into their tents except me and Carl. We were learning more about each other and about other close people he lost.

"You're cool to be around with." he said looking at me.

"Really? I feel like I'm boring." I answered truthfully.

"Not at all. You're like one person I can talk to. " he told me and wrapped his arm around me. I can tell Though it was a friendly gesture.

I started to blush and I looked down.

"Since we're talking, can I tell you a secret?" he asked me looking into my hazel green eyes.

"What is it?" I asked getting lost in his eyes.

"Remember how I told you about Shane?" I nodded. "I need to get this off my chest, but my mom, Lori, she's pregnant. And I knew about her hooking up with him. It's been bothering me all along, and I just needed to say something. please don't tell anyone." he said sighing with relief.

"I promise I won't tell. And I know how you feel. " I Told him hugging him.

He looked at me puzzled. "What happened with you?"

I took a deep breath and began explaining.

"My mom and dad were married, and they were happy together. But I was walking home one day early from school because we had a half day and a random car was in our driveway. It wasn't my dads because he was working, so I was worried. I entered the house slowly and quietly and I heard weird things in my moms room. I got creeped out like a normal teen probably knowing what was going on, but my dumbass looked inside the key hole and there was my mom with another man. I ran off to my friends house and I never told anyone about this." I sighed and looked at him.

"Im glad you found us." he said.

"Im glad I'm here." I answered and now, I feel like I can talk to him about anything.
