I checked the time.

12:42 am.

2 hours later then when he said he would be home. Colby said he'd be home at 10, not 12.

My anger started to bubble inside me, he's probably hanging out with that Jess girl.

Jess is very flirtatious, and it drives me insane. She always flirts with him, when I'm there, and even when I'm not.

She could honestly get any guy she wanted, even if they're gay.

My thoughts got interrupted by the jingling of keys.

I looked up and saw the front door slowly open, trying to be as quiet as possible.

Colby entered the apartment, seeing me, then knowing he fucked up.

His beanie was laid sloppily on his rustled up hair. He was semi-sweaty and his clothes looked as if they were put on in a rush.

Oh god.

He did, didn't he.

He walked closer to me, closing the door behind him.

"I'm so sorry Zoe." He apologized.

He sat down on the couch next to me, and tried to hold my hand.

I pulled my hand away from him and scooted farther away from him.

He looked at me, confusion in his eyes.

"Zoe?" He asked.

I started crying.

"Zoe? What's wrong?" He asked, scooting closer to me.

I stood up from the couch and backed up. He stood up, but he didn't come closer to me, knowing I'd just back up.

"Zoe, I'm so sorry, we lost track of time and-" I cut him off.

"Who's we?"

He sighed and started naming people.

"Me, Sam, Kat, Brennen, Nik, Jess, Corey-" I cut him off again.

"Jess?" I asked, holding back more tears.

"What about Jess?" He asked.

"Is it that she's prettier than me? Funnier? Smarter?" I asked, genuinely wondering the answer.

"What the hell? You think I cheated on you?" He asked, slightly raising his voice.

"Let me see your phone." I stated.

"You don't trust me?" Colby shouted, I could hear the hurt in his voice.

"Not right now Colby!" I shouted back.
