Netflix And Pillow Forts (for Ellie)

"Can you get one more blanket?" I asked Colby.

He nodded and proceeded to walk upstairs.

It was our 1 year anniversary and we were currently building a pillow fort. We just needed one more blanket and it would be complete.

A few minutes later Colby came down the stairs with an extra blanket.

"Here." He smiled as he handed it to me.

"Thanks." I gently laid the blanket on top of the fort.

We both crawled in and admired our handiwork.

"We need some snacks, don't we?" I said to him.

"Yes, you get the snacks and I'll get the movie."

I nodded and climbed out. I stood up and walked across the hall, to the kitchen.

I grabbed a 2 big bowls and filled each up with chips.

I grabbed some more snacks and went back to the pillow fort with full arms. I went back into the fort and laid the snacks in the ground in front of us.

I noticed that Colby had chosen a movie on Netflix.

"Watch are we watching?" I asked Colby before turning the lights off.

"You'll see." He smiled and pressed play.

A few seconds into the movie and I already knew what it was, it was my favorite movie, Miracles From Heaven.

I smiled at Colby, and he smiled back. I leaned up and kissed him.

(time skip)

The movie finished a few minutes ago and Colby and I have been just sitting inside our fort while talking and eating our snacks.

"No way, Winnie the Pooh could totally beat Jack Skellington in a fist fight." I argued. Yup, this is what we have conversations about.

He gasped. "I disagree."

We both laughed because we realized what we were talking about.

"We're so stupid." I giggled.

He laughed. "Well I'd rather be stupid than be an idiot."

"You said you're not both?"

He playfully glared at me.

"You see, this is why I love you, Ellie. We talk about the most random crap and we understand each other." He held my hands.

He's said that he loves me many times, but I've never said it to him. Until now.

I looked up at him. "I love you."

He looked at me and smiled.

"You love me?"

I nodded and kissed him. He kissed back immediately and wrapped his arms around me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. The kiss started getting heated, until I heard.

"DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY SNACKS?"

Colby and I jumped apart as Sam and Corey crawled into the fort.

"Jesus guys, you scared me." I said as I placed a hand over my heart.

"I'll just take these and be on my way." Corey said as he grabbed the bowl of BBQ chips.

"And I'll take this." Sam said, then grabbed the other bowl of chips.

As the were crawling out of the fort, I said, "Thanks for clearing the space, it gives us more room to bang each other all night long!"

Colby just laughed and Sam turned around and gave me a weird look.

"Now leave before it starts or else you will be scarred for life!" I shouted, then I heard their footsteps get quieter and quieter.

Colby looked at me.

"Was what you said true?" He asked.

"What did I say?"

"That were going to bang each other all night?"

"I mean... anything's possible."
