I was FaceTiming my best friend, Colby, when there was a loud knock on my front door.

I told Colby that I would be right back and left my room.

I walked to the front door and opened it, standing there was my boyfriend Jake.

He looked angry.

"Paige, why'd you cancel our date?" He barged past me into my house.

I closed the door behind him and faced him.

"I-I told you, I don't feel well."

"Bull shit." He stated.

"Jake, I'm telling the truth! I threw up this morning a-and--" He cut me off.

"You threw up because you're probably pregnant."

"Pregnant? Why would I be pregnant?"

"Yeah, you're a fucking slut who sleeps with guys on the first date."

"I am not--" he cut me off again by slapping me right across my face.

"Don't speak to me like that!" He yelled at me.

He started walking closer to me, I backed up and ran into the wall. Jake put his both hands on the wall next to my head and leaned close to me.

"Now, tell me why you canceled our date." He spoke.

"Jake, I-I told you-"

"GIVE ME THE REAL ANSWER GOD DAMMIT!" He demanded as he slammed his fists on the wall.

"THAT IS!" I screamed as I started crying.

"YOU JUST DON'T WANT TO ADMIT THAT YOU'RE A NO-GOOD SLUT!" He screamed as he knocked me down onto the ground.

I just laid there.

He rolled me over onto my back and straddled my waist.

"This is for lying!" He screamed, then punched my face.

He got up off of me then left my house, slamming the door behind him.

I rolled over onto my side and started crying. I could taste the blood in my mouth.

Then I remembered, I was still on FaceTime with Colby.

I quickly stood up and ran into my room. I ran to my phone and saw the the FaceTime call had ended.

Hopefully it ended before all the screaming happened.

I just flopped onto my bed and continued crying.

This has been happening ever since we first started dating, 3 years ago. Colby's had his suspicions about Jake abusing me before, but I always denied the accusations.

Next thing I knew, I cried myself to sleep.

(time skip)

"Paige! Paige!" I heard yelling as I was being violently shaken awake.

I opened my eyes and saw Colby. He looked worried.

"Paige! A-are you okay?" He sounded panicky.

"Y-yeah. I'm alright." I answered as I sat up. "Why are you here?"

"Paige, we were on FaceTime and I heard yelling and screaming and I got here as fast as I could."

I didn't reply.

"Paige," he sat down on the bed next to me,"why didn't you tell me? Or anyone? You said everything was fine."

I just burst into tears.

Colby pulled me into his chest and told me that everything was going to be alright. (a/n omg how cute)

A few minutes later, my phone started buzzing. We both looked over to it. I stood up and walked over to it.

Incoming Call: Jakey😍🤤😍

I slammed my hand on the decline button and Colby came to my side.

He pulled me close to him.

"It'll be okay." He mumbled and kissed my forehead.

"Let's go get you cleaned up? Okay?" He said as he rubbed his thumb on my cheek.

"Okay."
