     Life's POV

My mom came to pick me up from art club at around 3:30. I was still thinking about Jacar, and still blushing. I walked up to our big red truck and hopped inside, covered in snow from the blizzard out the window. I was lost in my thoughts when my mom asked, " How was today?"  I stared out the window. "Life!" I flinched. "What?" I asked innocently. "I said how was today?" "Oh, sorry. It was good." "Cool. Got any homework?" "No." "Alright. Well, you have an ortho appointment in about five minutes, so we're gonna go straight there." I nodded and proceeded to stare out the window. When we got to the orthodontist, I signed in at the touchscreen computer and sat down. When I was called up, they had me brush my teeth, they took my wires out, and they put new, pink bands on the brackets. When all of that was done and my mom made a new appointment, we headed home. When I got inside, I put my backpack behind our couch and ran upstairs to talk to Death. No matter how different we were, we always loved some good gossip. I knocked on her door and came in. "Death? I have something to tell you!" I said in a singsong voice. 'Come in!" She answered in the same tone. "I have something to tell you! Remember how I told you I liked Jacar?" She nodded, and I plopped down on her bed next to her. "Well, after the whole, 'I don't like you and I'd never date you' thing, he was kinda acting like he liked me, too!" I squealed a little. Death raised an eyebrow. "After all that, you still think he likes you?" I nodded. "I do like to give myself the benefit of the doubt." I smiled. "So what happened to you today? Other than the obvious death-life-prophecy-doohicky." She laughed a little. "Well, I might like someone a little..." She trailed off. "Ooh! Who! Tell me tell me tell me!" I begged like a little girl. "Well, its... Karma." She looked at me. "Oh. My. GOSH! I can't believe it this is awesome! My sister has a crush my sister has a crush!" I laughed and sang. Death hit me on the arm. "Oh, stop. Honestly, I don't think he'd like me back." She looked down. "Of course he will! You two would be perfect! Well, I gotta go play minecraft. Byez!" I walked out of her room still singing 'my sister's gotta crush!' and heard Death laugh.
