Chapter 14: Hope

*11:08 pm*
"Sir Mathew?" I said my voice echoing in the room.
"Yes darling? How are you?"
"I really need your help"
"Tell me, I'm listening,"
"Can you please tell me what things you can see through the window?" I said
" You know what i can see Meredith Hayes? Now I see a grandmother and her niece having a warm cup of coffee in this warm weather and after they had their coffee, her grandmother took out yarn and some knitting tools, she was almost done with the scarf she was making and as she was knitting something went wrong with the string so she smiled at her niece and continued anyways, I see one passionate young man looking through the telescope and taking pictures so happily, I can see a teenage girl, her toes in the water and her hands freely drawing on the sand,"
I stopped for a second and started imagining everything and to each word he said i would smile
"You know what else i saw earlier?" Sir Mathews said
"What did you see?"
"It's actually a long story, once two years ago a 22 year old woman called Hope used to be in the same room that I was in, she had leukemia too, and she used to always ask about me and read me stories that she wrote and used to draw a lot, I always thought that my life would end sooner or later and that I was incapable of making myself and other people happy but she made me think positively, although she told me that she was suffering from depression for 7 years and both her grandparents passed away, all she had was her grandmother from her mothers side... she told me that no matter how many hours of chemotherapy she has to go through that will still help her in being stronger every time she did it... and just 2 hours ago she came into my room while you were asleep in her wedding dress with her husband and before she left she told me, "I never gave up, and look at where I am now!", and Meredith I can tell you that you can be that sort of person, she suffered through a lot but always loved making people happy and that's why she is happy now,"
"Woah! I'm so shocked!," I said so emotionally happy ," thank you so much for believing in me I appreciate it."

*2 hours later*
Hunter: Meredith, Meredith wake up *hunter said patting me on my shoulder*
"Huh?! What's wrong?"
"Listen, mom and dad said that they won't be able to come this week either, Mom is really sick, dad took her to the hospital yesterday and she woke up once today but couldn't stay awake for too long..."
"Wait what?!!!!!!"
"I know I'm worried too.. but dad says she's okay it's because she's working herself way too hard,"
"I hope that she's okay,"
"Meredith?"
"Yeah?"
"Did I ever make you feel down or didn't help you in something that you really needed help in? Do you need help in anything right now?"
"What? Why do you think that? You have always been the best brother anyone could ever have,"
"Thank you, and you are the best sister in the world,"
*doctor comes in*
Doctor: " How are you now Meredith?"
"I feel like my body is set on fire from the chemo but i guess I'm fine,"
"Sadly I'll have to travel after tomorrow and so we will have to do the chemotherapy soon and I asked the nurse to come here to change your IV to a better one, this is will make you feel a little bit better,"
As much as I'm suffering all I can say is that I know I can get through this regardless
