7. The Unexpected Fight

I continued to look straight Lily straight into her eyes. She looked as if she wanted to punch me. She then took a step back and grabbed her purse of the table next to us.

"I come back for my stuff later. I guess I can go room with Sofia." Lily said. Then she turned around and walked out of the dorm.

"Now let's get you cleaned up." Maria said pointing to me.

"I'll grab the first aid kit." Jessica said.

"I'll grab some napkins and washcloths." Jax said. In a few mintutes all the supplies had been laid out onto the table in front of the couch. I walked over to sit back down.

"Okay. This might hurt a little." Maria said. She took some kind of ointment and rubbed it on the gash on the side of my head.

"Ouch!" I said as I squezzed my eyes shut. I gripped onto the couch. Maria then took a wet washcloth and held it to the side of my head. Once the dried blood was cleaned off she placed a bandage over the gash.

"Okay now hold this napkin over your lip." Jax said.

"You should be good to go." Maria said as she stood up. She cleaned up the supplies and put them away. I leaned back on the couch just wishing that I could fall asleep. It was around 11am and I really didn't have anything to do.

"Okay so I'm gonna head out and get my daily dose of Starbucks." Maria said.

"Can I come?" Jax asked.

"Sure. Why not?" Maria said with a smile.

"I had a date today but I can cancel to stay with you Jyn." Jessica told me. I knew she had a date with a guy in her History class named Mark.

"No! Go on your date. I'll be fine!" I told her.

"Okay thanks. I really didn't want to miss that date." Jessica saidm she hurried of to her room to go get changed.

"See you later Jyn." Maria said. She walked out of the door with Jax close behind. About 15 minutes later Jessica came out of her room.

"See you in a bit." Jessica said. She waved and walked out the door. I was alone. I decided to check my Instagram. Once I was on I saw even more comments on the picture of Cassian. He wasn't going to be very happy when he found out people were making fun of him. I shut of my phone and was about to take a nap when there was a loud knock on my door.

"Who is it!" I called.

"It's Jessica. Come here quick!" She yelled back. I ran to the door.

"What is it?" I asked.

"No time to explain. Grab your shoes and your phone." She said quickly. I threw on a pair of black vans and grabbed my phone. I grabbed my key off the table and raced out the door with Jessica.

"Okay will you tell me what's going on now!" I asked her. She was leading me outside towards the courtyard.

"It's Lily and Cassian. Cassian got out of the hospital early and Lily like chased him down. She tried to kiss him!" She started to tell me.

"Wait. What! She tried to kiss him?" I said.

"Yea but he rejected her. He like pushed her away but she wouldn't give up. Now there in like this screaming match in the Courtyard." She told me. "A lot of people are there and it's being recorded to!"

"No way!" I said.

"Yes way!" She told me. We had arrived at the Courtyard and sure enough Cassian and Lily were screaming at each other.

"Are you seeing this?" Maria said as she walked up.

"This is unreal." I said shaking my head.

"Jax heard yelling so we decided to find out where it was coming from and here we are!" Maria said. She had her phone out recording it. I looked around and saw many others also recording it.

"I heard you name come up in their conversation Jyn." Jax told me.

"Really?" I asked. I was both stunned and very confused. Why were they yelling at each other?

"Yea Lily said something about thia being your fault and Cassian got all defensive about it." Jax told me. Then we moved up closer to ther front of the horde of people to clearly hear what Cassian and Lily were saying.

"Cassian you don't like her!" Lily said.

"How do you know that!" Cassian asked.

"Why would you go for her when you can have all of this?" Lily told him.

"It was a one time kiss Lily! It didn't mean anything!" Cassian said.

"Don't you lie to me and say you didn't feel anything in that kiss. There was a spark and you know it!" She shot back.

"Your insane!" He told her.

"I am not! You just won't believe that I am your soulmate!" Lily yelled.

"Oh please! You wouldn't even be a good girlfriend! Let alone soulmate!" Cassian yelled back to her. Then the crowd of people gasped when he said this.

"Oh shut up!" Lily yelled to the crowd. Then she pointed a finger at Cassian's chest. "You will admit to yourself that you love me!" Her voice got deeper with each word.

"I won't. You wanna know why! It's because I love Jyn! Not you, Jyn!" Cassian yelled. The crowd of people gasped again and all turned to look at me. I slowly walked closer to Lily and Cassian.

"Jyn!" Lily said. She was glaring daggers at me.

"Jyn!" Cassian said. I reached them but I didn't know what to say.

"You ruin everything!" Lily yelled at me.

"Jyn. I really, really like you and I'm sorry that you had to truly find out this way." Cassian said. He walked over to me so he was standing directly in front of me.

"Stop it! Stop it now!" Lily yelled.

"I wanted to ask you out sometime." Cassian said. "But I didn't know when. So how about know? Jyn will you go out with me?"

"I...uh...I...um...I can't do this.." I said. I ran off into the crowd away from Cassian and Lily and the other people.

"Jyn wait!" I heard Cassian yell.

"Jyn!" Maria called out. I kept running. I wanted away from the people and the cameras and Lily. I wasn't ready for that. I didn't stop until I reached the Starbucks. Once I was inside I sat on the couch near the giant window and curled up in a ball, hoping that no one would find me right now.

Mwah Mwah Mwah Mwah....didn't expect this twist did you. I need a way to drag out this book so it will make it to at least 20 chapter so I figure this is how I would do it. I will also be putting word counts at the end of each chapter. Author's notes will be included in the word count.
