I was standing outside leaning on the wall of the Frat house. After a few minutes Maria came outside looking for me. I really wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. I pulled out my phone and looked at Pinterest for a bit to kind of calm me down.
"Jyn! What the heck was that about?" She asked frantically.
"I don't know, okay! I was just mad at him and Lily and I just needed to do something so I punched him. Sorry I guess." I told her. Though truthfully I wasn't really sorry at all. Then I saw Jessica's red Porsche pull up in front of the Frat House.
"Is it true?" Jessica asked. She practically jumped out of her car and ran towards us.
"Is what true?" I asked her. I had a pretty good idea of what she was talking about.
"Did you punch Cassian?" She asked.
Yea. Sort of." I told her.
"It's all over Instagram. Check it out." She told me. I opened Instagram and sure enough a lot of the people at the party had taken a picture of Cassian laying on the floor. His nose was bleeding and the side of his head had a bruise on it.
"Oh no." I asked.
"Maybe we should go back to our dorm." Maria suggested.
"Yea I think that might be a good idea." I replied.
We hurried back to our dorm. I was glad Lily was in the Teacher's Lounge because there is no doubt that she knew. She was always on Instagram. Even during class. Great. I had basically just doomed myself for the rest of the year. Maybe everyone would laugh at this and not make a big deal about it. Or on the other hand they could make a huge deal about it and I would force myself to transfer colleges.
"Look Jyn, don't stress over this. Yea you may have just punched the most popular college guy. Big deal. Stuff like this probably happens all the time. Or maybe this is the first time this has happened and this blows up and everyone hates you." Maria rambled.
"Way to make me feel better Maria." I said sarcastically.
"Sorry just there are many ways that this situation could go." She told me.
"Look I'm sure this will all blow over and nothing will happen. Just you probably should stay clear of Cassian for a while and if possible avoid Lily." Jessica told me.
"I don't know if Lily and Cassian are like an official couple but I wouldn't want to take the risk." Maria said.
"Thanks for the advice. It helps a little." I said. We were now in our dorm and we had changed into our pj's. We were sitting on the couch watching TV and monitoring Instagram.
"Wow this story is even more popular than the one about Mr. Mixon kissing Ms. Ryans. I'm pretty sure like everyone knows about this now. Pictures of Cassian are showing up everywhere." Jessica said as she was scrolling through Instagram.
"Oh great." I said and rolled my eyes.
"I think Cassian has regained consciousness now from what people are saying. Maybe Cassian will forgive you and then decide he likes you instead."Maria said.
"Sure." I told her.
"Hey I'm just trying to say positive here." Maria said shaking her head.
"Alright thanks guys but I'm gonna head to bed. If Lily is in a bad mood when she gets here in the morning someone come tell me." I told Jessica and Maria.
"Okay." They said. I walked off to my room hoping tomorrow would be a better day.
