So my relaxing evening turned into me dancing around our dorm. I had Panic! At The Disco's album Death Of A Bachelor blaring through the speakers. It was loud but not loud enough so the people next door could hear it. I had on a pair of comfy grey sweatpants and a black tank top. I was eating a Milky Way while standing on the couch dancing. It's not weird at all.
I heard a loud knock at the door and I hopped off the couch and turned the music off. It couldn't be Jessica or Maria because they're keys were missing from the spot they usually put them. I opened the door but I didn't see anyone there. I glanced down the hall and didn't see anyone. Then I looked down and saw an envelope with my name on the front.
I picked the envelope up and opened it. It read
Meet me at Starbucks at 8.
-CC. That could only mean one person. Cassian. I debated on whether to go see him or not. I seriously considered flipping a coin. I mean this could go one of two ways. Good or bad. I really don't wanna punch him again because he is a good looking guy. Wait. Did I just say he was good looking? I mean I do like him but. . .ugh I need help. Then I heard the door open and Maria walked in.
"Hey! What's up girl!" Maria said happily while throwing her bag in a chair by the kitchen counter. She was smiling so that must mean her time with Jax went well. I didn't wanna ruin her happiness by talking about my Cassian issues.
"Hey! Nothing much I guess." I said. I gave her a fake smile and quickly pushed the envelope under a stack of papers on the table near the couch. Maria frowned.
"What's wrong? Your face smiles but your eyes don't. What happened? And why did you push that envelope under those papers." Maria asked with a tilted head.
"It's nothing. No big deal." I told her shaking my head. She got up and rushed to the stack of papers before I could stop her. She found the envelope and opened it and then read it.
"So are you gonna go see him?" Maria asked. She set the envelope back on the table.
"Well I don't know. Should I?" I asked her. I was so confused as to what to do right now. Cassian has the potential to be a great guy but I just don't know what to do about Lily. There's no chance she'll just let me date him without making my life miserable. But would it be worth it? Should I go for it or not? Maria snapped her fingers in front of my face.
"Hello?" Maria said while continuing to snap her fingers. "You zoned out a little there."
"Oh sorry. But you know what? I've made a decision. I'm gonna go meet Cassian." I told her. I got up off the couch and changed into my typical black jeans, a black shirt, and threw on my burgundy vans. I tied a red and black flannel around my waist and grabbed my bag and headed towards the door.
"Yo go girl!" Maria yelled from the couch. I laughed and walked out of the door. It was currently 7:30pm so I had plenty of time to get to Starbucks.
I arrived at Starbucks at few minutes before 8 so I ordered a Pink Drink and sat on the couch I usually sit at and waited for Cassian. I didn't actually know what he was gonna say to me but I was ready for it. I still hadn't quite decided what I was gonna say to him. I took a sip of my Pink Drink when I heard someone say something to me.
"Hey Jyn." Cassian said to me. He sat on the couch across from me.
"Hey Cassian." I told him. I had to admit I was quite nervous to talk to him, knowing how rough things have been in the past week.
"I just wanted to apologize. Every time I try and talk to you someone's always around but I just wanted to genuinely apologize for everything that's happened between us lately." Cassian said. I smiled.
"Thank you. And you're forgiven. I can't really blame all of it on you but some of it is your fault." I said with a small laugh. Cassian smiled.
"But it's mostly Lily's fault because she is basically a psycho obsessed with me." Cassian said.
"So in other words, our college life is like every other cliché story about a girl who liked guy and then another girl gets in the way and attempts to ruin it." I told him. His smile grew even bigger.
"I guess you could say that. Wait. Did you just say it was about a girl who liked a guy. That's implying that you do like me and you just admitted it." Cassian said with triumphant smile.
"Liked. Past tense. But I will admit that I liked you." I told him. I felt a small blush creeping up my cheeks.
"That's all I needed to here. And if you just wanna be friends right now I'm totally okay with that. But the second you're ready come find me and I'll take you out on a wonderful date." He said.
"You'll be the first to know." I told him.
"Well, it's getting late. I think I'm gonna head out." Cassian told me.
"I'll see you later." I said with a smile.
"But before I leave I'm gonna do this." He said. He leaned over and placed a small kiss on my cheek. I smiled and watched him leave.
"I'm really glad I decided to meet him tonight." I said to myself while sipping up the last of my Pink Drink. I stared out the window with a big smile on my face. For the first time in a week, I felt happy.

Well. . .hi. It's been awhile. I haven't been writing because I feel like all of my writing is terrible. I don't know what's wrong with me but I'm just not as proud of my work as I used to be. I'm trying to get out of this state of mind but it's really difficult for me to do that. I'm hoping I can get back into a regular writing schedule and maybe that will fix it. I'm not sure.
I also would like to apologize to everyone who was really into this book and loved reading it. I want to apologize to all my followers and readers since I haven't been active at all in like 4 or 5 months. The last time I updated an actual fanfiction was in March. I'm so very sorry. I hope to get updates out more frequently now since the new Star Wars movie comes out soon. I wanna get back into the spirit of things. Hopefully.
Thanks for reading this!
Peace Out Starflys -Lindsey
