"Why are we called that, little girl?" The man with blonde hair and dark brown hair asked.

I bit back my anger as it threatened to control me again. I shook my head and looked at Luke. He nodded and stepped in front of me before I turned and walked up the steps to Zack. He was still so losing his thoughts. What could he be thinking?

"Zack?" I asked nervously.

Zack turned and looked at me with shock before lifting me up and hugging me. I didn't move out of his hug, instead I melted into it. I hugged him back and buried my face into his chest. I breathed in his scent before I heard someone clear their throat behind me. I turned to see Zack's father glaring at me and Zack.

"Zack, our pack laws should not be taken for granted. If you do, then I will hand over the alpha male position to your brother and you'll be kicked from the pack as the laws state for breaking pack laws." his father growled as a woman with black hair and brown eyes walked out.

"Henry Prowler! Leave the boy alone! This nice young girl brought us a well-aged stag to eat. You should be thankful that she brought you dinner." She snapped at him giving him that motherly, 'Argue with me and you don't get dinner' look.

I smiled and began to burst out in laughter as I caught her look. Zack looked down at me perplexed as Zack's father walked inside and closed the door. Within a few seconds I felt hot tears rolling down my cheeks before I held onto Zack's shirt. He stood there rubbing my back as I sobbed into his chest, no longer laughing like I was only a few seconds ago.

I heard Luke lead the other Tiger-humans away from me and Zack as I stood there crying. We stood there for a while, but soon Zack lifted me up bridal style and carried me inside. I hid my face in his chest as he walked through the living room.

"Is she okay?" Austin asked sounding concerned.

"I don't know...She was laughing and then began to cry out of nowhere..." Zack said worriedly.

"Here, I'll take her to her room." Austin said as I felt his hands slip under me.

I clung onto Zack and let out a low growl and whimper. Zack pulled me closer and I heard a small growl rumble in Zack's chest. I looked up at him to see him glaring at Austin.

"Let me take her to her room." Austin growled.

"She doesn't want you to. Did you not hear her growl at you?" Zack growled back.

Austin walked away and I stayed where I was still crying slightly. Zack carried me to my temporary room and sat me down on my bed before sitting beside me. He hugged me close to him and rubbed my back gently. I continued to cry as he sat there in silence trying to help me calm down.

"Feeling better?" He asked me when I finally finished crying.

"I-I think so..." I mumbled pulling away from the hug as he handed me a cup of water.

I drank it all before handing him it back.

"So, why were you crying?" Zack asked as kind as possible.

"Your mother is so much like mine..." I breathed as I stood up.

I walked to my desk and looked down at the blank top of the desk as Zack walked over. He seemed to be concentrating on something when his mother called us for lunch. Zack held his hand out and I looked at it. How should I tell him I'm fine? That I'm not hungry at all after I mauled that stag and dug into its body?

"Are you coming?" Zack asked.

"Y-Yeah...I'll be there in a little bit..." I mumbled.

"I'll save you some and then after lunch I can help you learn to control your changes." He said smiling before leaving.
