"April! Wait up for god's sake!" Luke yelled as I ran out of the house.

Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I ran through the chilly afternoon forest. My mom was a vampire now. Dad was dead, Caleb and Lily had died, and I didn't know what happened to me in the last three years. From what Luke told me, I had killed Drake and he had found me with wounds around my wrists from chains. If that was true, how did I manage to escape the chains in the first place? If I had memories of the previous three years, I don't remember much. I mainly could remember up to when I was injected with whatever Drake had given me.

A familiar howl echoed through the forest as a brown-haired man suddenly wrapped his arms around me hugging me tightly to his muscular chest. I could hear his heart beating and smell a familiar scent coming from him. I pulled back to see Zack standing there with a small smile on his face. He looked like he was wary of my response to his hug.

"Zack..." I breathed before hugging him as I buried my face in his chest.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I cried into his chest. His breath tickled the top of my head and his hands rubbed up and down my back soothingly. His heartbeat was so familiar and soothing that I began to calm down. He seemed to be the only one in my crazy existence that seemed to stay the same except for his body being slightly more muscular than it had before.

He pulled back from the hug and glanced behind me, before leaning down and kissing me gently. A low growl sounded behind me as I broke from the kiss to look behind me. Luke was standing there with an angry scowl on his face. His hands were balled into fists at his sides. His blue eyes were lit with a fiery anger that I couldn't comprehended. Why was he so pissed that Zack and I kissed? We discussed this a long time ago, right? We agreed that we thought of each other as brother and sister.

"What the hell do you think you're doing Zack? She made her decision two years ago! She chooses me, not you!" Luke snarled.

My eyes widened at hearing that. Why would I choose Luke over Zack? I thought of Luke as a brother not a lover. Why would I make suck a rash decision like that two years ago? Wincing in pain, my hand touched my forehead as a memory surfaced.

I stood in the middle of the forest in between Zack's house and my species. Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I glared at Zack. His words had stung me, and I felt like he had ripped my heart out. How could he have chosen to leave me like this just so he could marry her? She was nothing like me! Yes, she was a different pack Alpha, and their marriage could unite their packs, but what about me? Why would he shove me out of the way? Why couldn't he leave the pack to Austin, Maria, and their little son?

"You can't stay here anymore, Tiger-humans. Please leave before I have to send my wolves after you. We are allowing you to have the house we have built in the Smoky Mountains, but just because the Florida pack and the Smoky Mountains pack are merging, doesn't mean you won't be seeing us again." Zack's voice spoke up as the young, scarred werewolf at his side smirked at me happily.

I turned away to see Luke looking at me sadly. Caleb, Lily, and the others were standing behind Luke except for the light brown haired girl, the dark brown haired girl, Kate, and Zoey. Where were they? They were supposed to be here. As I walked forward to Luke, he opened his arms to hug me.

A loud howl erupted through the air as I walked towards my kind. Sneers and jeers were directed towards me and my kind and I turned around to growl at all of them. What the hell was wrong with them? Couldn't they be kind enough to let us go without their angry sneers and jeers directed at us? We didn't ask for this! We never meant to end up letting their pack leader, Henry Prowler, die! It was an accident!
