Simple days
The days that
Could be constructed out
Of laughter and stories
The days I would do anything to
Go back to
And then
Leave it all behindDam
It it aches
The memories
Of the smiple days
I miss the devotion
The lack of bitterness
You.
You never got old.
But you were never simple
I was stupid, silly
To think we could
Just StayThe simple days
Regret gumbles on calendars
And scribbled out with danielI barely remember
The times were I actually
Thought you could
Be just a simple best friend
That I wouldn't feel so judged
Hated and
strange
Under your so not simple gazeI miss you.
I miss you so much.
Trying to keep something simple
When it
Is just a jumble of wordsInspiration: best friend
