From Eddie:
I'm sorry Maddyy. You're right about everything you said last night and I overreacted. I just worry about you and care about you so much. If anything happened to you I would blame it on myself and wouldn't be able to live with it. Please be careful with everything you do. I'm only a phone call away if you run into trouble remember that.
I read the message that Eddie had text me last night while I was sleeping. I didn't feel like texting him back right this minute. He could sweat about it. I wasn't upset anymore, I understood how he felt, I felt the same about him after all.
Since today was still the weekend I left my pajamas on and went down to the kitchen to get me some food. It felt empty in this huge house all by myself. Usually Eddie already had breakfast cooked and was waiting for me to get down here.
Ding Dong!
I heard the doorbell ring as I poured my juice into the cup. Weird. The people who come to the house always have a key and just walk right on in.
Ding Dong!
"Coming," I called out.
I ran to the front door and looked out the peep-hole. What I saw on the other side surprised me more then anything. I swung the door open without thinking about.
"Chris?"
He was standing on the porch with his hands in his pockets looking down at the ground.
"Where is Tyler and how did you know where I lived?"
He was still staring at the ground like he it wasn't his choice coming here.
Finally he answered my questions, "I came to talk to you."
"Okay? Come in I guess."
I let him walk in the door and led him into the living room. While he got comfortable I decided to turn on the television. Chris and I sat in silence for a long time before he finally started talking.
"Cody and Tyler sent me over here. But I'm not here for the reason they sent me."
I was surprised about him not following directions. "What are you here for then?"
"I came to warn you."
The note that Boss had found the other day popped into my head. The note had contained the same message.
Chris continued to speak, "Tyler and the group aren't people you want to associate yourself with. They're not good people."
"You hang around them."
He looked me in the eye, "Me being in this group wasn't a choice it was something that I had to do for me and my family. You wouldn't understand but just trust me when I say this get out while you can. When Tyler sets his sights on something he always gets it. He has never done it with a girl before but he has now and it's you. Not only is he taking with you but Cody is also."
I wasn't taken back by this information, "How did you know where I lived?"
"Tyler told me," he said simply.
That was the only news that took me by surprise, "Oh."
He stood up to leave, "Like I said before get out before you can't. Of Tyler and Cody ask I came to get to know you better. They don't like the way I've been talking about you around the house. I wanted them to leave you alone but that's not going to happen I don't think."
