Maddyy’s POV
TWO DAYS LATER ….
I had been gone for two days. I hadn’t watched television or looked at my phone. I didn’t want to really. I didn’t care about what was going on and I knew no one had tried contacting me.
After debating about it I finally went out and bought the newspaper looking at the headline. On the very front page was a huge picture of Tyler, his dad and my old gang. I couldn’t help but feel the pang in my heart from seeing it. I knew I didn’t love him anymore but a piece of me still had feelings toward him, I couldn’t deny that.
I glanced at the long article and begun reading …

GANGS ARE BUSTED AND LEADERS BROUGHT DOWN
People around town are shocked to find out that we had two local rival gangs, Crips and Bloods, hanging around. They were selling, recruiting and more right under our noses. Many people were scared to even let their children hear about this in fear they would try and join this horrible gang.
Tyler and his father shown above have been charged and face a trial for all the evidence found against them. Police say the father has no way of getting out of this while the son, Tyler, might be able to in a couple of years.
While the other gang, Crips’, members are going to prison for possible the rest of their lives. The three main leaders of this gang were not found or identified. Police say that no one should be worried about their return anytime soon.
Trial is going to be held one month from today. Everyone pray that justice is served.

I reread the paper over and over again. I couldn’t believe that I now had a shot at a normal life; that I wasn’t going to have to deal with this ever again.
BEEP! BEEP!
I skipped over to my phone and picked it up without thinking.
“Hello?” I answered.
“Maddyy?”
“Everything ok?”
Scott sighed. “Yeah. It’s fine. Tyler has been trying to pay cops into letting him contact you though. He doesn’t know anything but I’m starting to think that maybe he loves you more then anyone suspected.”
“Do you think he is going to be in prison for a long time?” I couldn’t help but ask.
“I think so. Are you going to come to their trial? Or do you think we should leave now?”
I smiled at how we said we. “You should stick around and finish the job. I’m going to be right here when it’s done.”
“Bye Maddyy. I love you!”
Something inside my stomach tugged. “Love you too.”
Hanging up I knew what I had to do. I walked over to the hotel shower and jumped in after stripping off my clothes. It didn’t take me long to put on a long sleeve button up top with a black high waist skirt.
I headed out the door and to my rental car. I drove a little bit faster then normal because I wanted to go ahead and get this over with.

“I’m here to see Tyler Scott Anderson,” I said to the man at the front desk.
He looked at me, “And who are you?”
