Yoongi was still at Hoseok's apartment that evening, where he took a nap on the couch. Hoseok urged Yoongi to go back to work since he knew that Yoongi's boss was less lenient than his own, but Yoongi said he wouldn't go until later.
Hoseok was making potato soup and had already warmed up some Chinese beef and rice for everyone to eat. Kenji came into the kitchen, hand in hand with Jiro, who finally woke up from his own nap. Hoseok saw how puffy Jiro's eyes were, and bent down to kiss each eyelid before kissing Jiro and Kenji's lips.
"Do you guys want some potato soup?" Hoseok said just above a whisper to avoid waking Yoongi.
"Can I eat yogurt first?" Jiro asked, rubbing his eye. Hoseok assumed it was dry and itchy.
Hoseok gave Jiro mango yogurt and a small spoon, and Jiro walked away, towards where Yoongi was sleeping.
"Jiro, let him sleep," Hoseok hissed.
Jiro didn't listen. Jiro put his yogurt and spoon down on the coffee table before he nudged Yoongi's arm and Yoongi opened one eye almost instantly. "Yes?"
Jiro bowed in front of Yoongi, greeting him. Yoongi only chuckled. "We saw each other at the school. Why are you greeting me now?"
"I didn't greet you at the school."
"You don't have to greet me so formally," Yoongi told him, "you can say 'hello,' I'm not going to scold you."
Jiro nodded, before awkwardly getting onto Yoongi's back, and wrapping his arms around his neck.
"What are you doing?" Yoongi asked.
"Thank you," Jiro whispered, "for coming to see me, Yoongi."
Yoongi has never been in the position where a child had made him blush so hard. He turned, positioning Jiro to lay on his chest. "You're welcome, Jiro, I'm here for you."
The two laid in that position while Kenji stayed next to his father in the kitchen, silently watching Hoseok shuffle around from one counter to the other counter.
"You can't let kids talk about you like that anymore, okay?" Hoseok could hear Yoongi tell Jiro. "When someone talks to you in that way, you have to put them in their place, Jiro. You can't let anyone mess with you. If they punch you, you punch them back. Always defend yourself."
Jiro mumbled something along of the lines of 'I understand, Yoongi,' but Yoongi kept talking.
"No one should make fun of you for having one daddy or two daddies," Yoongi said, rubbing Jiro's back softly. "It wasn't your fault you were put in that position, Jiro. Besides, it's none of those kids' business anyways. If you have one daddy, so what? If you have two daddies, so wh-"
"I like your accent, Yoongi," Jiro mentioned. "You speak Korean but it sounds cooler."
Hoseok also noticed that Yoongi spoke differently when he spoke Korean. His accent made his voice deep and almost rough-sounding when he used lower tones, which Hoseok thought was a little attractive.
"Thank you, Jiro," Yoongi patted the boy's back twice.
"Yoongi?"
"Jiro?"
Jiro patted Yoongi's chest twice, before resting his head on it again. "I don't want another daddy if it's not you."
The boy's words caught both Yoongi and Hoseok by surprise. Jiro wasn't not one to tell someone how he feels so abruptly, and often kept his feelings about things to himself, or told Kenji, who spoke for them both if they agreed. For Jiro to announce that he wanted Yoongi to be his father to Yoongi himself was a little absurd.
