It's 8:45 a.m. and Hoseok is ready to throw himself in front of the nearest speeding car.

He woke up late, his boys are still sleeping, and they're late for their first day of school. He's going to have to call the office and beg for forgiveness while simultaneously dressing his kids and getting himself ready. They haven't eaten breakfast, school starts at 9:30, and Hoseok knows for a fact that he won't get any pictures of his kids standing in line with all the other preschoolers unless he can get his kids out of the house by 9:05.

"Kenji! Jiro!" Hoseok ran into his sons' bedroom, where he found the two of them in Jiro's bed, holding onto one another. It wasn't an uncommon sight - sometimes Kenji couldn't sleep well and would sleep next to his brother. Hoseok assumed that maybe his kids were anxious about the first day of school.

Hoseok removed the blanket from their bodies, before picking them up and holding each one in his arms. He kissed their cheeks sweetly, earning a yawn from Jiro and a giggle from Kenji.

"Good morning my babies," Hoseok cooed, "it's time to get ready and get you guys to school, okay?"

"Daddy," Jiro mumbled, "can we stay?"

Jiro was the eldest of the twins. His hair was almost black, and he had striking ebony eyes, which was a slight contrast to Kenji's soft brown hair and light brown eyes. Even though him and Kenji were born identical, Jiro looked exactly like his mother. He was a quiet boy, who enjoyed being with his brother and watching Naruto. (If Hoseok had a choice, he'd make sure his sons never watched Naruto, since he thought it was inappropriate for little children. However, the last time he tried to remove Naruto from his home, Jiro cried hard for an hour and Hoseok loves his sons too much to let them suffer.)

"No, baby," Hoseok sighed, walking to the bathroom with his kids in his arms, "you have to go, you're going to learn many, many things today. You might even make a lot of friends, Jiro, don't you want to make some friends?"

"I want to stay home with you, too, Daddy," Kenji yawned, resting his head on his father's shoulder.

Kenji was as loud and as bold as his father. He was also very talkative, saying ten words to every one word Jiro said. Kenji, sadly, was also very clumsy. Jiro was constantly having to help Hoseok soothe a crying Kenji when he fell or hit his head on the counter.

Hoseok put his children down on the floor in the bathroom, before handing them their toothbrushes. He placed a generous amount on each toothbrush, reminding them to brush thoroughly and wash their faces before rushing back to their room to get them clothes. He wanted them to match today, so he pulled out dark blue jeans and light blue sweaters (his boys' favorite color).

"Come put on your clothes when you're done, kids!" Hoseok called, walking into the kitchen to make some quick sandwiches for them. He made sure Jiro had no mayo in his sandwich, while Kenji got extra lettuce in his, and he made sure they each got a sippy cup filled with orange juice.

The boys came into the kitchen five minutes later, Kenji still yawning and Jiro's face in a scowl. Hoseok handed them their sandwiches and cups before patting Jiro's head softly.

"Why are you making that face?" Hoseok asked, a pout on his own lips.

"Daddy, I don't want to go to school," Jiro voiced to him again, crossing his arms.

"I told you, honey, you can't miss the first day of school," Hoseok sighed, kissing his son's forehead, "I'm going to get ready, and then we'll be on our way."

Jiro huffed as his father rushed into his bedroom to change his clothes. His eyes were getting watery and his throat was getting tight, but he didn't want Kenji to see. So, he walked to the living room with Kenji trailing behind him, turning on the television to watch a recorded episode of Naruto.

After Hoseok had finally gotten himself prepared, he and his kids left their apartment and walked to the car. Hoseok buckled in his sons and himself, before racing out of the parking lot of their apartment complex.

"D-Daddy," Kenji called to Hoseok.

"Yes, honey?"

"I don't want to go to school, can I please go with you?" Kenji whimpered, before he starting crying loudly.

It honestly did pain Hoseok to take his kids to school. His children didn't speak proper English yet, since he always spoke to them in Korean, and now he was suddenly exposing his kids to the outside world. Hoseok silently prayed that the other kids in their class wouldn't pick on his children.

"Daddy, please? Can I go, too?" Jiro asked as well, and Hoseok could see his watery eyes in the rear-view mirror.

"Guys, I know you're scared," Hoseok said gently, "but you guys will like school. You guys are going to make friends and learn a lot of things. Why are you crying?"

Hoseok's words only caused Jiro to cry as well. By the time he pulled into the parking lot of the school, Kenji and Jiro were screaming and begging to go home.

Hoseok got out of the car and took his kids out of their car seats, before carrying his crying sons to the front of the school where all the parents were saying goodbye to their children.

The three of them looked crazy: Jiro and Kenji holding onto their father for dear life, while Hoseok had both their backpacks and lunchboxes hanging from his arms. He continued to speak to them softly, but nothing seemed to be working. Hoseok could feel himself about to cry as well, but he refrained once he saw their teacher.

Hoseok and his boys met Miss Ysabelle last week during parent night, and Jiro and Kenji seemed to be fine with her as their teacher since they didn't complain about school after the meeting. Kenji even commented on how nice Ysabelle's dress was when they left. Hoseok hoped that maybe if she looked them in the eyes, the boys would stop sobbing.

"Miss Ysabelle, hello!" Hoseok greeted her, smiling despite his sobbing kids were still on his arms.

"Hello, guys," Miss Ysabelle smiled, and Kenji's sobs eventually turned to soft whines. However, Jiro was still crying hard, tears streaming from his eyes.

"Give me a minute please, I know I'm late," Hoseok said sheepishly, putting his kids on the ground.

"Don't worry," Miss Ysabelle laughed, "take all the time you need."

Hoseok walked his children to the side so the other late parents behind him could send their kids into the classroom. He bent down to his boys' eye level, his own eyes watering.

"Jiro, Kenji," Hoseok uttered, holding his children's faces in each hand, "I will be here to pick you both up when school is over. Please, don't cry anymore, you'll have a bunch of fun once Miss Ysabelle starts class."

"Daddy," Jiro sobbed, "please, don't leave me here." Jiro wrapped his arms around Hoseok's neck, causing Hoseok to cry as well. Hoseok wrapped his other arm around Kenji's body and pulled them close for another hug. The three of them cried together for two minutes, before Hoseok pulled away and wiped his sons' tears.

"Behave, and treat everyone nicely," Hoseok commanded, "and if I hear no complaints, I'll take you guys to McDonald's. Would you like that?"

Jiro wiped his father's tears before nodding. Kenji nodded as well.

"Okay, it's a deal," Hoseok smiled, "I'll take you both out for McDonald's if you behave. Now, give Daddy a kiss."

Kenji kissed his father's lips first, and Jiro followed. Hoseok stood up from the ground, and held his children's hands before walking the two of them to their classroom's entrance, where Miss Ysabelle was waiting.

"Wait!" Hoseok blurted, looking at Miss Ysabelle, "Can I take a photo of them first?"

Miss Ysabelle nodded, and Hoseok hurriedly pulled out his phone. The twins stood and posed, holding hands and grinning.

"Say cheese!" Hoseok said happily, capturing the picture. He looked at the photo and chuckled to himself, before giving his kids another kiss.

"Have fun, my loves!" He grinned, waving goodbye to them as they entered the classroom together. Once they were out of sight, Hoseok smiled to himself, walking back to the car.

I made such good-looking children, Hoseok thought before smirking.
