I'm sorry it's really short but I thought this is how the story should end. Enjoy! perrynorine
Bear POV
I held my wife tightly in my arms. I couldn't believe what had just happened. "Please don't be dreaming." "You're not dreaming." I held her tighter and I put my nose in her hair. I knew it was her because of the cranberry smell in her hair. I pulled away from her to sit on the bed. "I think there is someone that really wants to meet you." "Is he okay?" "He's perfect." She tried to stand up but I caught her in my arms. "It's okay princess." I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the main house. I kicked the door opened and walked inside. The entire family got up from there spot to stare at both of us. "How is this possible?" I noticed ma was missing and then I heard footsteps upstairs. "I don't know. She just suddenly woke up and then I was holding her. I think it was a miracle." Noah stepped forward to look at her. "We will need to take her into town tomorrow to make sure everything is in working order. I've read that people that come back from the dead sometimes have problems that we can't see." "She probably just needs to get some rest." I sat her down in a chair when I saw ma coming down the stairs. She had Bear Jr. in her arms but she stopped in her tracks when she saw Norine. "How?" "We are taking her into town tomorrow." She came over to us and handed the baby over to me. I placed the baby in her arms put her arms couldn't hold him up. I knew that it hurt her but I hoped she would get her strength back. I held him for both of us could see him. "Can you believe he is our son?" "It seems like a life time ago that we were in Juneau." We heard a few of the family chuckle. "Why don't we all go to sleep. We have had a long night." We all gave each other hugs as I picked her and my son up to walk to our cabin.
Six Weeks Later
She was getting her strength back more and more every day. She was sitting on the swing that Bam had made for the family. She was laying on her side facing the beach and our son was lying beside her. It was starting to get colder and we knew snow would be coming soon. I could see Gabe chopping wood, the girls were putting fertilizer in the garden, the other boys were skinning a few deer they had killed on a hunt. I knew that we were trying to have most of the chores done before the first snow. I walked over towards Norine and I put my arms around her. I kissed her cheek and then I leaned down to kiss my son. "What are you two doing over here?" "We were just talking. It might only be one sided but it doesn't bother me." "Isn't it almost time for his nap?" "It sure is." She talked in a baby voice and he smiled at her. He giggled for us as I helped her out of the swing. We walked together back to our cabin and I knew nothing could keep us a part. We laid him down in the crib as we stared down at our beautiful creation. I kissed her hair. "I love you." She turned her head around to look at me and we kissed. "I love you too."
