Gabe POV

I couldn't believe it was my wedding day. Norine had chosen Valentine's Day as our wedding day and I was so excited. She was also pregnant with our child and she was due any day. I swore that her skin was glowing because she was pregnant. I was standing in front of a mirror as I tried to put on my bow tie. My hands were shaking when Matt came over to help me. "Why are you so nervous?"  "How could I not be nervous? I'm marrying the love of my life. Our baby could be here at any moment. Many different things are changing in my life." Norine POV

The sun hit my face when I saw my family watching me. They were the only family I had left after my parents left me. I leaned on the door post as I regained my footing. I walked towards him as I noticed Billy standing to officiate the wedding. I took his hand as we stood on the far side of the fire with the family watching behind the pit. "What's wrong?" "I think my water just broke. I need you to go get your mom and the girls." I raced over to the dresser to put on some clothes. I head people laughing when I busted through the door. "Norine's in labor." The girls sprang into action when ma walked over to me." "Bring her to the main house and lay her on the bed over there." I nodded my head as I turned around to retrieve her.

I laid her on the bed as she was having a contraction. The boys all stepped outside to give us some privacy when the girls surrounded us. Ma walked over to me and looked me in the eyes. "We will let you when it is time. Go wait outside with your brothers." I sat on the side of the bed and leaned down to kiss the side of her face. "The girls are going to take care of you. I love you." "I love you too." I walked towards the door when Bird replaced my spot and wiped her face with a wet rag. I closed the door behind me when I sat on the top step and looked out across Browntown. I saw all my brothers sitting around the pit. Matt walked towards me and sat down beside me. "How are you feeling man?" "I'm beyond nervous. I became a husband and possibly a father today. Talk about life changing." I heard him smirk. "I could become a husband and a father. We all thought Noah would get married first." I turned to look at him. "I was predicted to be the third one to get married. At least Noah has a serious girlfriend that I think he will ask her pretty soon." Norine started screaming when I got up and raced inside. She was starting to push. Ma looked over my way and away from Norine. "Stay outside! We will get you soon!" I closed the door quickly when I sat back down in the same place. "I wonder why they don't want me in there." "Ma knows what she is doing, just let her work."

It felt like forever when the door opened to Rain holding my child. I stood along with all my brothers. "Come and meet your son, Gabriel Starbuck Brown Jr." I felt tears coming to my eyes when I looked at my son for the first time. "How's Norine?" "Ma is getting her cleaned up." She handed him over to me when I saw his brown eyes. "Hi, I'm your dad." "He looks just like you." I nodded my head. "Gabey?" I heard my wife calling my name. I walked inside to see her sitting up in the bed. "Have you held him yet?" "No" I sat down next to her and she reached for him. I looked over her shoulder and we both looked down at our beautiful son. I kissed the side of her head as our son moved his arms around. The family had moved into the room as they watched us. I looked over at them when I saw my parents crying. More tears started falling when I looked over at my son and wife. "I love all of you so much." I looked around the room and I knew my heart was at its fullest.
