Training was a piece of cake. The first sentence was a lie, it gave me sores all over my body and I just wanted to give up. This guy Nurien is too fast, when he defended himself from my punches I felt as though I was the one getting punched. Being a Facade or Levute whatever is not in my criteria.

"I suggest we take a break" he says

"Finally" I said with relief

"You could've told me earlier"

"You're my trainer remember? You lay the rules not me" cause if it were me I'd say I quit

" You're not fighting with your heart and soul" he pointed out "You're weak"

"Oh I'm sorry, I don't remember signing up as a Facade either"

my sarcasm just flew by, he lifted his eyebrows "You can pretend you want to be a Facade"

" I'm not ambitious on winning the Oscars. I'm usually the tree on theatrical plays" I smirked

I saw him grin but hid it right away. What a peculiar fellow, his expression is always blank as if he was staring off to space.

"Care to tell me about vampires? I only know the movie versions" I asked

"They are usually found in the dark forests, it's where they hide. They are pale small creatures with red eyes and sharp teeth with poisonous claws. When a human gets bitten they either die or turn. Depends on their DNA"

"Ohhh, so I don't have to worry about the ones that look human since they don't exist." I grinned

"There's that too" he added " There are more stronger vampires that take the shape of a human and they even talk like one too. They seem blend with he crowd. They are more sinister and evil and they kill without mercy"

"You mean the ones in the forest are...merciful?"

He nodded "These creatures eat animals, it's just that they commonly mistaken humans as prey. And due to that, ones that survive...turn into powerful bloodsucking people who crave power"

"That's where the facades come in" I continued.

The sun was setting and I felt every part of me weaken. Nuriel helped me back inside my house.

"Don't try to go out at night, these vampires are active when it gets dark. Don't tell your friends about who you are don't approve the existence of vampires."

I nodded again, of course Debra and Gemma won't believe me. No one will, I don't even believe it myself yet since I haven't encountered one.

I watched Nuriel leave, he was built and strong and quite dreamy too. I tried to erase the dreamy part, now is not time to be involved with guys I mean they are old.

"Party?" I said while on the phone with Debra "I can't"

I can feel her pout on the phone. Yes I know her so well. True story.

"Well kindly elaborate?"

"I have this...leg problem, when I walk its painful...ouchhh" this time I was telling the truth, not only my leg but my whole body.

"Okay, Gemma can't go either because she needs to study for the quiz bee"

I heard Debra's mom yell at her for not washing the dishes, I knew that she was making a face. As she hung up I limped back to the couch at the living room I spotted my dad in his casual clothes reading the newspaper

"Hi" I squeaked, I wonder if he's gonna leave as soon as he sees me

"How's my little munchkin?" he says, he hasn't changed, he looked so relaxed when he saw me "How was your training?"

"Awful" I muttered "Why can't you train me instead daddy?"

"I wish I could but unfortunately we are both Levutes" he explained "Once we are in combat mode we might attack each other and..." his voice fades "I'd rather die than hurting my only daughter"

I hugged my dad, he was a Facade just like me and he had his struggles too. Good thing he's an ancient, Nuriel told me that ancients have strong self control towards blood and a lust for combat

"Daddy, can I ask one more question?"

"Anything munchkin"

"Um...how old am I?" I smiled faintly

"Well, you are 188 yrs old and I know what your asking next. I'm 2018, your mother 2000."

It was 12 am in the morning, I heard my phone vibrating, my senses were so strong that even a single vibration can waken me

"Hello?" I answered, I sound like a boy

"May? May are you there?" I heard Debra's voice, she looked shaken "May I...I'm scared"

"Debra! Whats wrong?"

"I think I'm being followed! I left a party a few hours ago and..and there's two guys that's been following me around, I tried to lose them but they seem to be fast!"

"Where are you?"

"I'm here at Brownings, May there's only a few people here that they are creepy too! I saw them at the party and...May you might think I'm crazy but I saw their eyes...it turned red"

"Debra, I'm coming to get you. Find a safe place. I'll be there in 5 minutes"

I was mad. Really mad.
