Nuriel looked at me with cold eyes, I wanted to look away because every time he looked sad and angry my heart for some reason would ache inside. Anna held my hand, I didn't notice how shaken she was until Nuriel interrupted
"Tell me the truth" I finally spoke up after the brief silence
"It happened almost six hundred years ago, the war between vampires and Facades was getting worst everyday. We had to fight day and night to destroy anything that would endanger both a humans and weak halflings alike. But as time goes by, our ancestors who were warriors began having a certain illness. They began having delusions, they've completely isolated themselves from the people they care for...in short, they've become insane. It begins with memory loss, strange thirsts for both human and vampire blood and complete bloodlust. We've become the ultimate killing weapon that we tried to destroy" Anna continued " The elders were concerned so they created the AVNAR, the elders used it to heal the sick Facades...everything was planned and well organized. The AVNAR was a different being, strong yet bodiless, many AVNAR were created but the mighty warrior Elianna destroyed all of them. She betrayed her clan, and stole the original AVNAR, the strongest, wisest and purest.
"Elianna" Nuriel interrupted "Had the original AVNAR that started everything died within her"
"She didn't die" I spoke up, touching my heart, suddenly I envisioned peices of broken glass come together. My eyes could see a beautiful innocent child running across the meadows, she grew up and became a warrior, a ruthless warrior. All innocence and beauty in her eyes was gone, only anger and lust, these were my eyes......
One glass was particulary glowing... I peeked right in and saw myself in a swampy area, I saw my own body wrapped in plants, my hair damp and wet. I looked lifeless, pale and death was already written upon my face yet I can hear my own heart beating. I was still alive, I felt it...I wanted to live and fulfill my mission. Then I saw two couples walking by, I immediately recognized them-- mom and dad
"John!" she exclaimed "Come quickly!"
My dad, wearing an century old attire quickly took off his coat and tried to untangle me from the vines and dead plants that covered me, he checked my heartbeat and looked at my mother
"She's alive, Sophie call for help"
after that I floated away and landed on a room. I saw myself in the bedroom, sitting still in my bed and just watched clear blue sky from my window. I was put hands on the air and slightly grinned. I looked like a child stuck in a teenager's body. Then I heard a voice, a familiar one
"Doctor, she doesn't seem to remember who she is. Also, we can't understand why she hasn't spoken for a week" my mom says behind the doors
"I have no other explanation but it seems that she is suffering from a memory loss. Judged by her clothes, she might be one of those warrior Facades who've fallen from a battle against a strong vampire."
"But she is just a child!" Sophia exclaimed
"Warriors are trained starting ten years of age, it is no surprise. I suggest you return her to the elders"
"I wouldn't say that's a good idea" my dad spoke up " She will be useless for them, they will just eliminate her. This young child will remain under our care"
"I must warn you, she is a Facade and so are you." the Doctor says gently "Are you prepared for such task when you or her could possibly attack each other in a moment?"
"She has lost memories, I don't think she can remember who she is or who she was in the first place. We will conceal her identity and make her our daughter...since Sophia and I cannot bear children no longer"
"I understand." he replies calmly "I shall keep this between us lord Hayworth. But whoever she was in the past is bound to emerge in the future. Memories will always come back, and I know you and your wife will be prepared. Just be careful, the elders won't be happy if they learn this."
I opened my eyes and touched my heart again, it was beating slowly.
Seems you've remembered....
Elianna's death bore a new identity, her name was May Hayworth...and when I die..
I woke up and realized I was in my bedroom, how long did I pass out? I remembered everything, Elianna's memory came back and now I had to do the mission she was set out to do... I will destroy the original AVNAR. And I know where it is. I changed my clothes and grabbed my denim jacket and put my sneakers on, I jumped out of the window and was surprised to see Nuriel
"Geez you scared me" I muttered
"Where do you think your going?" he asks
"I remembered Nuriel, I remembered everything, why she did it and what she was planning to do"
"That's wonderful" he says flatly "Pray tell"
"She did it because she knew what the Elders were doing, they were killing the Facades not healing them! Their intentions are evil, the AVNAR is a powerhouse although it's pure it can also steal the humanity in us. Three great Facades who were a threat to Elders due to their power was the perfect candidate for the test. They weren't cured, they got stronger, and crazier" I paused and looked at him "The only difference is that they can hide their insanity really really well. Elianna was the last one to be tested, when she found out about the corrupt plans of the Elders, she bailed on them. She destroyed the copied AVNARS, it was easy...they were placed in a golden jar, and the last...the original jar that contained the disembodied spirit of the alpha AVNAR and took it with her"
"Why couldn't she just destroy it like the rest of the copied AVNARS?" Nuriel asks
"The only way to destroy the alpha AVNAR is to sacrifice your life as a pure human. Do you remember some Facades has the ability to regenerate? Wrong, there's only one Facade who can do that. Elianna Freyert is the only one who can create a new identity and be reborn once again as a pure human, she created my identity...but she failed due to the jump"
"And the AVNAR....let me guess is still missing?"
"No....the disembodied spirit is inside me."
