“Really?”

“Yup.”

“I never met a vampire before! I didn’t think they were real, well they must be if you’re standing in-front of me. You’re the stereotypical type, too. You’re handsome, velvet voice, weird coloured eyes, and cold hands. Wow, you’re really a vampire.” I said, almost feeling drunk. I knew I was babbling. “My friend Bettye said some stories about you guys. She said you give people love potions to make them fall in love with you, but why would you need to, right? You’re beautiful…” I trailed off, not because I knew I was babbling, but because I had drunk a drink he handed me and felt funny.

All Oakley did was chuckled, and continue to dance with me.

“Come on,” he said. “I want to take you outside.”

“Why?” I asked. We walked out of the hall and then before I could anything, the second the cold wind hit my face I felt myself being picked up.

I blinked as air rushed past my face, making a loud, howling noise in my ears. Opening my eyes again, I noticed we were a good half a mile away from the school. What the hell? I blinked! I know he was a vampire but that’s a bit much! In the blink of an eye I got half an hour. I need to sit down…

“I’m beautiful.” He said. Wow, talk about a big ego! “And so are you.”

I looked up at him. “Thanks…” I said. “Though I am nothing compared to you.”

“You can be!”

“What?”

“You can be stunning, although you already are – you can be beyond beautiful.”

“Really?” I asked, excitement growing inside of me.

“I love you, Ellen. I’ve been watching you sleep—”

“Okay, that’s just creepy, what are you, Edward Cullen?”

“No? What? This isn’t some cheesy love/vampire romance novel. I watch you all the time. I honestly love you. And now you love me too, right?”

“I guess.” I replied. “Of course I love you.” I didn’t know if I did love him, it could just be the love potion talking.

“Do you want to live forever… with me?”

“Yes.” I said instantly. God, did an effect of the potion mean I didn’t have control over my mouth?

“I’ll be quick, it’ll take about ten seconds. It will be painless but you’ll proabably faint for about three seconds. Your face will change automatically and you’ll have red eyes for the next three days.” He said. “Is that okay?”

God, this was a lot to process…

“Ten seconds?” I asked. “God it took Bella Swan–”

“Can you just stop talking about Twilight?” Oakley asked, although he chuckled.

I tilted my head and moved my hair. “Go on then,” I said, giving him a clear invitation to my neck. “Bite me, bitch.”

“What?” He asked.

“I’m sorry, I had to say it. Go on, bite me, please. Better?”

“Much…” he replied and was next to me straight away. I felt his nose trail along my neck. “It won’t hurt.”

He kissed my neck lightly and I smiled.Woah? What? Did all he have to do was kiss me neck?

“Is that it?”

“No.”

“Oh. So you’re actually going to bite me?”

“Yes.”
