Summary:

Ellen, Bettye, Willow and Vicky are best-friends. They spend their weekends at each-others houses and don't keep any secrets from each-other. One night, while watching X Factor, Bettye told them of a love potions Vampires used on their targets - the targets would then become their partner for the rest of time. Okay, maybe Ellen breaks the rule of friendship, and keeps one secret from all of her friends.

“Did you ever hear about that Vampire story?”

“What?” I asked Bettye.

“That Vampire story, you know, about a love potion…”

“No.” Willow replied.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion and I looked back towards the telly. The X factor was on, but it was muted. None of us really wanted to watch it. It was more of a light while we all sat and talked, honestly.

“You’ve been watching too much Twilight, Bettye.”

“Or Vampire Diary’s,” Willow giggled. “Or True Blood.”

“Apparently, it’s true.” Bettye said as she closed her book, her long red hair fell down her shoulder.

“Go on then, Bet,” Willow replied, tying her own Blonde hair up into a ponytail. “This should be interesting.”

Suddenly the doorbell rang, “Hold that thought.”

My mom must have answered the door because while I was getting up Vicky walked into the room. “Hey, losers. What did I miss?”

“Oh nothing,” I replied as she hugged me. “Bettye was just telling us a vampire story.” I said with mock horror.

Vicky let me go and she rolled her eyes. “Bet, they’re not real.”

“I don’t care! Some legends say they’re true.”

“They’re not legends, Bet, they’re rumours.” Vicky replied. “And we all know rumours aren’t true.”

“But what about Cassandra Yellow, the rumour about her and George was true!”

“That’s because Vicky spread that around.” I replied. “She actually saw them. It wasn’t a rumour.”

“It wasn’t spread by Cassandra.”

“But it was a fact.” Vicky replied. “It’s fine, anyway, get over it.”

“But I want to tell the story!” The girl moaned.

Vicky got a bit of her long black hair and twiddled it before sitting down in the chair opposite.

“Let’s hear this stupid story, then.”

“Well… it’s about a love potion that the vampires used to capture the hearts of those who don’t believe in their immortality or them in general…”
