We arrived home, Josh and I played with Charmant and Belle for a while. When we went back inside, I got this strange feeling, I've never had that feeling, but I knew what it was.
My diamond necklace turned green; Both my dad and Megan were in danger. I don't know how, but suddenly they were in front of me, like on a screen, they saw me too, Josh saw them.
"Anna." They both said in unison.
"Guys, go back. You are in danger, a demon's near."
"Annabelle." They both gasped happily.
"Go, before it's too late." I said urgently.
"It's already too late." A voice said. I looked at the demon, he looked human, but the marks on his skin that looked like tattoos thought me better.
"Go, I'll deal with him." I said through their minds.
"Oh, Annabelle." The demon said. "Are you gonna help me finish them?"
"No, let them go." I said.
"No, I am this close, Annabelle and I'm not going to let them go that easy."
"Let them go." I said again, but firmly.
"You're evil." He insisted.
"Being evil does not mean I don't have a heart." I said with purpose. "Oh sorry, I forgot that you DON'T have a heart." It actually worked, I saw pain and hurt on his demonic face.
"But, you're evil, you should do evil things." There were anguish and desires in his voice.
"Every evil person in the world has good in their heart, every evil." I said carefully for him to understand. "Just let them go."
"No." He said firmly.
"I'm sorry. NO." I repeated what he said. "Say it again." Instead, he stared past me and watched Megan and my dad running away, I knew what he was thinking.
"Oh don't even think about it, if something happens to them, you'll deal with me. You don't want to mess with me." He stared for a long time where my Minder and my dad had ran and looked at me.
"I'll get you for this Annabelle." The demon said and disappeared.
Josh stood there and stared at nothing before running upstairs and me following him.
"Josh, what's wrong?" I asked once I was in his room, he did not answer. "Josh." I called again.
"He's going after them." He simply said, he looked at me and met my gaze. "He's going after my mom."
"Josh, he won't dare, trust me." I said reassuringly.
"How do you know, did you see that demon's face." He said disgustingly.
"I just know, Josh. I can feel it." I took hold of his hands. "Stop worrying."
"How can you say that?" Josh's hands tightened on my hands. "That's my mom out there." He wiped his hands out of my hold. I tried not to show that I was hurt.
"My dad is with your mom too." I said to him. "He's in danger as much as she is."
"She's my mom." He insisted.
"She's my Minder." I said.
"I don't want to go there." He simply said. "Can I just be alone?" He asked. I met his gaze, he had something to say but didn't want to make the wrong move.
"If you have something to say, Josh, say it." I said firmly and ready to take in whatever was coming.
"What?" He said, meeting my gaze.
