Raina had gone missing. Avery was running around the house calling her like mad. She didn't hear her phone, all she could think of how cps would be running her up a pole if they found out that Raina had ran away.
"Excuse me." Raina got up and took a couple of steps away from Calum.
"What do you want?" She answered the phone.
"Where are you!?" Avery screamed into the phone. Raina took the phone away from her ear. She didn't want to blow and eardrum listening to her screeching.
"I'll be back." Raina answered. Then hung up knowing she was going to be grounded.
"Who was that?" Calum asked taking a puff of the a new cigarette. "She sounded pïssed."
"My mom, I hope she doesn't try to track me." Raina looked at her feet, not wanting to sound like a complete loser.
"Come on I live a block from here. I'll give you a ride to where ever." Calum put the cigarette out, standing to his feet.
"That's not necessary." She blanched at him.
"Let's go." He gave her no time to react. She scurried after him. She didn't know if he wanted her to or not. His legs were so long, he was 6 ft compared to her.
"Are you goin' to catch up?" He called back to her.
"Um- yeah." She walked a little faster for him. She was almost trotting.
"Can you please slow down?!" She was gasping for breath.
"Sorry I forgot ur short." Calum slowed down so she didn't have to work as hard to catch up with him.
Raina pants as she catches up to Calum. Her heart was hammering in her chest. She wasn't sure if it was from the exercise or from the fact that he was cute. Looking up at him she could see a cute pouting lip and disheveled hair. She smiled feeling special being next to him. She shook her head fighting that thought back. She did not want to have feelings for someone like him. Popular and head strong. Not her type.
Peeking down Calum noticed Raina's face taught with confusion. She was battling something in her head. He brushed it off. He glanced down and saw her staring at him.
"You liking what you see?" Calum chuckled. Raina's face contorted into disgust.
"No. I don't like anything that I see. I'm trying to distinguish where my stalker is taking me. And what he wants." She stomped her way forward so she was leading him. Calum had a nice view of her tiny arse and it made him chuckle.
"Like what you see?" Raina whips around staring at him. Calum blanched. He never was caught checking someone out before. The thought intrigued him. She knew he would be looking.
"Yeah I do but it isn't you." He turns left into his driveway. He jogs up to the front door producing a key from his pocket.
"Baby!" A girl shrieks from inside the look on Calum's face was pure annoyance before a fake smile cracked across his face.
"Hi Shelby!" A fake blonde buries her face into his chest. Her roots were showing the massive amount of makeup she wore stained his shirt.
"Who is she?" Her voice laced with jealousy when she saw Raina step out from behind Calum.
"This is Raina I'm giving her a ride to her house." He lies through his teeth smiling down at her. The petty smirk on Shelby's face made Raina boil with anger.
"Actual he's giving me a ride to the hospital. So we can check to see if this is his baby." Raina smirked as Shelby hit Calum's chest.
"You cheated on me?" She shrieks and runs back into the house. The fake wailing burning holes into Raina's ears.
"Why did you do that?" Calum sighs and grabs keys from the inside of the door.
"Why are you with her?" Raina smirks back knowing full well that Calum enjoyed the whole scene she just caused.
"Because, I am." Is all he answers before locking the door behind him and making his way to the garage.
"Wow good answer." Raina laughs and hops into the passenger side of Calum's car. "Let me guess good sëx? No wait, she is for the ego boost?" Raina laughed harder at her own jokes.
"No, none of those things we are together because, I love her end of story." Calum jerked to a halt at the end of the drive way. "You wouldn't understand the shït we've been through together. She may be annoying but I love her." Raina blanched and stayed quiet until they reached they highway.
"What hospital am I going to?" Raina blanched.
"I uh- you could've taken me home."
"I could've but, I'm taking you to the hospital. Now which one?" He grits his teeth.
"Go to the one in hill crest." She mumbles.
"Hillcrest isn't that the hospital for- may I ask who's there?" Calum knows the hospital they were going to and didn't want to say the derogative term.
"Someone special." Is all she could say.
The drive was silent, Calum usually played music but felt it would be better for silence. Little did he know that Raina's head was screaming, she hated silence. For her it would mean bad memories or flashbacks. Her heart hammered against her chest. The feeling of a panic attack coming on.
"Here we are." Calum pulled into a parking spot.
Raina jumped out of the car filling her lungs with air. She hoped it wasn't noticeable that she was freaking out.
"You alright?" Calum approached her slowly ready for her to freak out on him. She just stood straight up and smiled.
"Sorry, I get a little bit of car sickness." Raina pulled it from her asš. She hated letting anyone knowing her weaknesses.
"Oh I'm sorry do you need water or maybe food?" Raina shook her head as he scurried to his car.
"I'm okay, just have to walk it off." She smiled and started walking to the entrance of the hospital.
"Hello sweety ur here late. You here to see her?" Raina nods at the nurse. The nurse looked towards Calum.
"Can I help you sir?" Calum shakes his head.
"He's my boyfriend. I want her to meet him." Raina lies and the nurse nods.
"Thank you." Calum nods in her direction and Raina silently walks to her room.
"Who is that?" Calum whispers into Raina's ear.
"Hey, mom."
