Recap:
"Who is that?" Calum whispers into Raina's ear.
"Hey, mom."
Continues:
Raina looks down at her feet. She didn't know what she was doing here in the middle of the night. Especially with Calum. She didn't know why she brought him along. She could have taken the bus alone and he wouldn't have to be here.
"Calum can you give me a moment?" She looks away from her mom who was laying there in bed totally motionless.
Calum knew this was hard for Raina and didn't want to intrude. He felt that she had opened up a side to him, that no one saw.
"Yeah, let me know when you want to leave." He closed the door behind him and walked down the corridor looking for the nearest vending machine.
"Mom, I hope it's okay that I brought someone. I'm sorry I didn't visit sooner. I would have but, things have been getting busy with school and Avery." Raina grasped the motionless woman's hands. "Mom I love you and I'm really sorry for that day. I knew I shouldn't have made you drive me to that party. I knew there was going to be alcohol. I just I didn't know people were going to be stupid enough to drive."
Raina felt her mothers hand twitch. The way it does when your brain send messages down to your nerves for muscle memory. She doubted her mother could hear her. The tears flooded Raina's eyes she never realized how much she missed her warm embrace.
"What are you doing here?" Raina slowly turned terrified to face the man who hated her more than anyone in the world.
"Nothing I was just leaving." She knew he couldn't touch her. But the fear edged at her that he might try something while no one was watching.
"You bitch. You did this to her you know. You made her this way. Don't come back here you little wench, if there wasn't a restraining order I wo-"
"You would what?" Calum stepped behind the man that hurt Raina more than she could ever imagine. She silently gulped hoping Calum would have enough sense to run.
"Who are you boy?" Eric questioned.
"I happen to be, well would you call her? Wench? I'm actually her bestfriend and if I didn't hear correctly you have a restraining order and correct me if I'm wrong but, that means you are not allowed to make contact with her. So please before I call security leave the room." Calum steps aside letting the broken man walk out.
"You haven't heard the last from me. You little-"
He was cut short by the fist connecting to his jaw. Calum' nostrils flared, his thoughts ran wild with hurtful things to say to this man. He didn't know who it was but no one should talk to a woman like he was. Calum grabbed him by the collar and yanked the smaller man down the corridor. The lady at the front desk slightly snoring. Calum ring the bell and looked down at her.
"Oh, what are you doing here you aren't allowed on hospital grounds!" She woke up astonished looking at the man. Who only huffed and rubbed his cheek.
"Please take him outside?" She directed at Calum. "I'm calling the sheriff."
"Good idea." Calum yanked him out the door.

"I'm so sorry mom." Raina sobbed into the bed sheets as her moms unconscious body lay there.
"I'm s-so sorry." Raina kisses her mom's cheek.
"If you were awake you would hate me too. You would hate me and probably end up just like dad. Only maybe paralyzed, just please wake up and tell me it's okay!" Raina walked away from the woman who gave her life.
"Wake up! Tell me it's my fault! Wake up! I want you to scream at me! Yell at me!" She collapsed to the floor sobbing on her knees.
"Do something!" She pounded the floor.
"Raina!" Calum ran and wrapped his arms around her when he watched her knuckles become red. He held on to her as she sobbed. He cooed in her ear trying to calm her. Camera's flashed behind them.
"Get out of here!" Calum screamed and slammed the door.
"I'm sorry ma'am. It was nice to meet you. I'm sorry it was under these circumstances." Calum kissed the unconscious woman's hand and looked at Raina and pulled her to her feet. He motioned for her to jump and she did. He cradled her to his chest and ran to his car. He sped away back into their town.
