Hii so quick update, you know what happened, i accidently wrote all of chapter 10 instead of 9. the problem is i plan out what im going to write, so it will mix up the order of the events. That's why i already have this written up.

School is hard, im so stressed already, gah please help me survive the rest of the year!

Chapter 10

Next to you

Alex’s POV

I couldn’t stop thinking about his roommate and I really wanted a closer look around the room. I’ve been texting with Kentin a bit but every time I brought up his roommate he just gave me vague answers and quickly changed the subject. After a few failed attempts to find out more I just let it go for the time being.

I had other things to focus on like that fact that exams were coming up in a few weeks. I had a full schedule with work and study this week. I know I was only a first year student but they were still important. It set a path for the rest of my course and the rest of the year.

I didn’t have work anymore, I was too distracted by that photo, even though it probably didn’t mean anything. Aria just told me to go home about an hour later when I kept making mistakes dropping food and getting the orders wrong. I apologised and grabbed my stuff going back to my room.

I had a few hours to spare before my first classes so I sent a text to Amelia hoping she would reply. She did minutes later much to my happiness. 

 Hii babe xx I have a surprise for you, can you get onto skype?

A surprise?! I quickly tapped over my keyboard replying with a yes with exclamation points. I threw my phone into the air in excitement, Leigh gave me a questioning look and I just shrugged excitement bouncing off of me.

I raced over to my desk and pulled my laptop charger out of the wall. I think I may have broke it. I left it for now not really caring all that much. I quickly turned it on and logged into my account after a few incorrect password messages much to my annoyance.

Amelia was already online and she sent me video request and I accepted. I put my earphones in that I had grabbed from my pocket. I slipped them in and I could hear faint music playing in the background.

I waved at her and she grinned, “Hi Alex” she started. “How you been?”

“Amelia” I couldn’t stop smiling it was just so great to see her even if it wasn’t in person. “You look beautiful” I complimented and I could see a faint pink blush spread across her cheeks. “I’ve been ok but the work load has been immense, how about you?”

“Thanks babe” she smiled and patted at her cheeks. “I’ve been good but I miss you” she pouted and I touched the screen wishing she was here next to me so I could give her a hug.

“I miss you so much, I wish I could be there with you” She nodded and changed positions so she could lie on her front.

“I have something to tell you” she tilted her head whilst I smile already knowing it was going to be good news.

“Tell me please I really want to know” I pleaded to her and she smirked slightly shaking her head playfully. I pulled out the puppy dog eyes and she told I wasn’t playing fair.

She gave in eventually and blurted out the news, “I’m transferring universities…” I saw she was watching my reaction carefully before continuing on
