Chapter 16

Valerie's P.O.V

I dropped the plate on the floor I couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Oh my gawd,” I said. I ran to the door as fast as I could like my life depended on it, “Jeremy!” I pulled Jeremy into a hug. Jeremy is one of my best friends he moved to Atlanta a year ago so I barely get to see him.

“Did I surprise you?” asked Jeremy I nodded my head yes.

“What are you doing here? I thought you were going to the Bahamas for summer.”

“I was but I haven’t seen you guys in six months so I asked my mom if I could come here for a few weeks, so she and Vicky arranged plans for me to come,” Jeremy said excitedly. Just then I realized everyone had made their way to the front door. Grace, Lucas, and Ryan are laughing their asses off.

“Gracey!” exclaimed Jer. Grace’s faced turned serious.

“I thought we agreed on not calling me that, but since I haven’t seen you in like six months its okay.” Jer pulled Grace into a hug.

“Guys this Jeremy one of my best friends.” Everyone introduced themselves to Jer; the only person missing is Cody. Jer took his bags upstairs to one of the guest rooms. Turns out Cody is in the kitchen cleaning the plates I broke.

“Sorry about the plates,” I said to my mom.

“its okay sweetie they weren’t that important.”

“Hey, I gave you those!” shouted Lucas. “I see how it is; that hurts deep.” Lucas touched his heart pretending to be hurt. Grace and Ryan are looking at him with the WTF look.

“I’m so glad were not related or I would commit suicide,” said Grace to Lucas.

“Why is Lucas crying?” asked Jer.

“Jer this is Cody my…” I looked at Cody to see what I should say.

“Boyfriend, I’m her boyfriend,” Cody put his arm around me. Jer opened his mouth to say something but my mom beat him.

“How about we eat,” said my mom.

“That sounds great,” Alli and Grace said at the same time. We all sat down, the Simpson’s and Matt sat together, Alli and Grace, Lucas and Ryan, Cody, me, Jer, and my mom at the end next to Angie.  All the adults seem to be getting along.

“Valerie, we already know you but Matt would like to get to know you better,” said Brad.

“Well, I like chocolate, one time I was eating it and it fell on my pants and it look like I pooped myself, I was in second grade,” I nervously said. Everyone is looking at me with that what are you smoking look.

“I don’t think he wanted to get that personal,” said Ryan. I could feel myself blushing Cody took my hand under the table which helped a lot.

“I’m a straight A student in the year club, chorus, and I did swimming last year.” I told Matt a bit more about myself hopping he wouldn’t ask me about my ex-boyfriends.

“So I hope this isn’t to personal, but where’s your dad?”

“In Paris for his job,” I said. We all finished eating its time for Cody to leave; Alli and Grace kept talking about how they need to have a sleepover.

“That was fun let’s do it again!” exclaimed Ryan in a girly voice. I said Goodnight to everyone and went upstairs to my room I’m surprisingly tired. I changed into my pj’s got under my covers and let myself fall asleep.

A/N this chapter kind of sucks but the next chapters will be juicier the drama should be happening in about two or three chapters or earlier. Leave feedback your and if you have predictions or what you want to happen. Also I need help with Valerie’s dad I don’t know what job I should give him if you want to leave a suggestion remember they’re crazy rich so it needs to be a job that pays well.
