Chapter 18

Valerie's P.O.V

"So your a stalker now?" asked Jer taking a seat on the chair next to me.

"No! I'm simply watching people dance," I said. I didn't realise I had been starring at Cody and Stella.

"Where's blondie?" asked Jer.

"Over there dancing with her," I said. Jer followed my gaze to Cody. Why is this song so damn long? I stood up heading towards the stairs. Why should I have to sit through that? I walked to my table took my shoes off and placed them under the table. I took my phone out I'll check my Twitter see what's going on.

I put my phone back in my purse now I'll try to have some fun. I walked to the dance floor found Amanda.

"Why aren't you dancing with Cody?" asked Amanda.

"He's dancing with his ex, that's why. How do you know her anyways?" I asked a little annoyed.

"Stella's uncle owns the club she was only stopping by for a few minutes. I thought she left like twenty minutes ago," said Amanda taking a sip from her drink.

"Well she didn't," I said feeling myself getting even more annoyed. I'm not sure if I'm mad or just annoyed that Cody was dancing with her instead of me.

"Come to think of it she did keep on asking if Cody was coming, and she seemed pretty annoyed when my mom talked about how cute you and Cody are."

"Speak of the devil here she comes with Cody," I said.

"Hi your Valerie, I'm Stella but you know that," said Stella in a high pitched voice. "Well I have to go it was nice meeting." She hugged us except for Cody she kissed him on the check. I felt someone pull me by the waist.

"Walk," said Lucas. He led me outside why the hell are we going outside? I have him a  questioning look. "We have a surprise for Amanda, so we need you to keep her busy. Can you manage that?"

"Yes, what's the surprise?" I asked.

"Her parents are letting her go on the trip to Hawaii with her cousins." All of a sudden I felt sick to my stomach a whole summer without Amanda. I walked back inside still feeling like I might throw up. I found Amanda and Cody by the snack table. Amanda pointed towards me.

"There you are," said Cody.

"Yup, here I am," I mumbled. "Have you seen Grace, I need...."

I was interrupted by Amanda's mom, "Will everyone please make their way to the stage for a special presentation." We all started walking towards the stage when I felt Cody grab my arm motioning me to go outside. We walked to the garden on the back the grass is a healthy green, there's tiki torches everywhere, benches, and a small pond.

"I want to talk to you about something that's very important. I don't want you to feel or think that I still have feelings for Stella because I don't. She broke up with me not really giving me a reason. Yeah it's true I wrote Not Just You about our breakup, but I moved on she's out of the picture. The reason I danced with her tonight is I wanted to let her know that I don't have feelings for her. That you're my girlfriend now and that if she wants she can be my friend but that's it only friends," said Cody. I gave a hug which I've been needing ever since Lucas and his horrible news. We walked back inside hand-in-hand Amanda's mom is giving a speech on how her little girl is growing up.

"I still remember when it was the Jonas Brothers and then one day you came running down the stairs obsessing over some Australian singer who was just signed. I think all of us in this room know who that boy is Cody Simpson," Aunt Jenny paused waiting for everyone to stop laughing. " You even threw a milkshake at your brother when he said you would never meet him let alone marry him. Yet somehow you ended not only meeting him, but being the Not Just You Girl and one of his friends. I think it's safe to say Nate has a lot of apologizing to do." Aunt Jenny finished her speech by telling Amanda about the trip. Cody sang Happy Birthday to her and All Day. Pretty much the rest of the night we danced our ass off!

Sorry this is really late but I only have 12 days left of school so I will be uploading a lot more. Yeah in the ATL they let us out in May but we go back to school in August. Also my friend got a wattpad Talez213 go check her out she's a pretty good writer. I'm thinking about ending this in a few more chapters I've been writing it for a while maybe to chapter 30. Do you guys want a sequel comment and tell me also drama happens in the next chapter.
