Valerie's P.O.V

"Valerie wake up we have a busy day ahead of us. I need you ready by eleven," yelled my mother at the top of her lungs. Ugh who wakes up their kid at eight in the morning during summer?

"Okay, I'm up," I yelled so my mother can hear me. So apparently we have to hang out with my parent's friends. I got out of bed still half asleep honestly I don't feel like showering today, so I'm not Amanda's party left me beat. I washed m face hopping that would wake me up. Why didn't my mother tell me I would have to wake up at eight? If I woul've known I wouldn't have stayed up until one talking to Cody. I already know this day is going to be crappy  Amanda is leaving tomorrow and I have to spend my day with people I don't really want to spend my day with. I decided on what to wear. I put my hair in a high ponytail, I disconnected my phone from its charger and walked to the guest room.

"Hey Jer you ready?" I asked.

"Yup, I'm ready to go?" said Jer . He's wearing a white v-neck shirt, black skinny jeans, and black Supras.

"Aight I'm going to check on Grace," I said before walking out of the room. "Grace, you up?" I peeked through her door. Obviously she was to busy texting to respond. "Who are you texting that you can't respond to your favorite sister?"

"Who gave your troll looking boyfriend my number?" asked Grace annoyed.

I shrugged, "Maybe Alli, anyways you look cute as usual. Cody does not look like a troll."

"Well can you tell him that we are not best friends, and I will not be wearing the matching shirts he bought," said Grace still distracted by her phone. She turned to me and laid on her back.

"He's trying to be your friend. He doesn't have to be nice to you the least you could do is be nice to him," I said while sitting down on her already made bed. I felt my phone vibrate I took it out of my back pocket. It was a text from Cody.

New message from Sexy Beast

From Sexy Beast: Will you tell your sister we're wearing the shirts and that's final.

To Sexy Beast: Ok.

From Sexy Beast: So do you think you'll have fun today?

To Sexy Beast: Umm idk and Grace said fine, but she's picking out the hairstyle. what does that mean?

From Sexy Beast: Hahahaha  I'll tell you. I invited her to come hang with me and Alli tomorrow. You can call me or text me if you get bored.

To Sexy Beast: Ur hanging with my sis without me? Ik I'll probably end up texting you all day.

From Sexy Beast: Yeah we don't like it when ur around. jk I love it when ur around.

To Sexy Beast: You better aight I'll text you later. probably in an hour wish me luck.

We pulled up to the Merrigan's mansion (external link) I love their house its so pretty especially at night when they turn on the lights they have outside. I know I made it sound like I don't like the Merrigan's, but I do I just don't want to lie to Austin. He's really nice and he's actually one of my good friends. Austin is popular at school like a bunch of girls want to date him and stuff. A lot of guys fake friended him last year because he throws the best parties and he's crazy rich. I would actually like to see him date Grace they would such a cute couple. They're only one year apart so it's not that big of a deal. Austin's mom is such a nice lady like one time I got in a fight with Ryan, so she let me stay at their house the whole weekend. Austin's dad and my dad are good friends from college that's how our families know each other. My mom rang the doorbell, Mr. Merrigan answered the door.

"Hey guys come on in," said Mr.Merrigan. Actually they let us call them by their first name so I'm going to start calling him Peter. I was about to ask where Austin is when Peter beat me to it, "Upstairs in his room."

"Thanks," I said. I made my way to Austin's room. "Hey there stranger."

"Hey, its pink hair," said Austin not bothering to look up from his laptop. I use to have pink highlights in my hair when I was like twelve. To this day I still don't know why I did that to my hair I looked retarded.

"Who is Austy talking to on Facebook?" I asked. I call him Austy just because I don't really have a reason. He logged of Facebook and we walked downstairs everybody is outside in the backyard.

"Hey Austin," said Jer him and Austin did the bro hug thing so did Ryan.

"Did Austin get blonder?" asked Grace obviously joking.

"I've been out playing lacrosse a lot lately," said Austin. In my school lacrosse is the sport not football. The parents are over by the outside bar, and we're sitting by the outdoor living area. We all did a lot of catching up since Jeremy has been gone for so long, and we haven't seen Austin in almost a month. Every now and then Grace and Austin would flirt it's the cutest thing.

"Okay, raise your hand if you think Grace looks cute," said Austin which made Grace blush like crazy. We all raised our hands. We spent most of the day talking and goofing off, and I only texted Cody once.

"Guys lets take a picture for Twitter," I said. We all gathered by the pool chairs Jer and Ryan sat next to each other, me in the middle, and Grace on Austin's lap. My mom took the picture I tweeted the picture. I checked what time it is 8:30pm.

I put my phone in my back pocket Austin's dad put on music they have a home iPod system thingy not sure what it's called. Just Dance by Lady Gaga came on and we all started dancing not very good, but since no one is around we didn't care.

"I love 3OH!3" shouted Ryan. Ryan and Austin are throwing around a football Austin threw it really hard that it went into the trees.

"Ah, damn," said Austin.

"I'll get it lazy butt," said Grace. She ran to the trees/small woods.

"Don't hurt yourself," said Austin. I laughed until we heard the loudest scream ever coming from the trees. I ran towards where Grace went, but I didn't see her I looked around everywhere.

I felt tears start to form in my eyes,"Guys I can't find Grace." I felt a tear stream down my face and for some reason I hope the song isn't a sign.
