Today went better than I expected. Her little cousin actually likes me. After I bought him the ice cream of course. It was now one in the morning and Lani and I are both tired as hell.
Her cousin Jay is sleep and she's in her room. I really want to tell her about the text I got earlier today but I don't want her worried about it.
I slowly open her door peeping in the crack as she looks directly at me. "You coming in or not?" She asked. I walk in the sitting next to her on the bed.
"I just want to let you know that I might be leaving in a few days." I said as she removes her attention from the tv to me. "Why everything is going great?"
"Lani if I stay here your going to end up hurt and I-
"Is it chris?" She asked cutting me off.
"No, it's me."
"Cyn I've learned a lot about you these past few days and I know you won't just up and leave so what's up?" She grabs my hand.
I let out a big sigh and start to talk. "I can't tell you Lani."
"Why not?" She asked.
I just can't."
"You can tell me anything, I want you to trust me." She said scooting closer to me on the bed. I start to feel butterflies in my stomach and the room starts to get hot.
"Lani I-"
"I really like you Cyn and I don't want you to leave because if you do who else am I going to dream about at night? Who else am I going to be able to tell personal stuff to without a care in the world?"
"You're not like other people I've liked your worth fighting for." She said as a tear drops from my eyes.
She wipes the tears away giving me a gentle smile. "Don't cry just kiss me already." She said.
I giggle as she grabs my face and I feel her lips upon mine. My butterflies soon went away and the room got even hotter.
Everything just disappeared at this moment I felt like it was just us. She pecks my lip one more time before stopping. She pulls away as I stare at her in shook.
