"How about this one?" I look at Bucky as we stood in front of the loft building. He shrugs his shoulders.

"Lets check it out on the inside." I grab his hand as we walk inside. We climb up the stairs and get to the door of the room we were going to be assigned.

A year and eight months have passed since Bucky and I have left HYDRA. After we left Captain America on the shore of the Potomac River. If you caught on that I called him Bucky yes, that's what he wanted me to start calling him instead of soldier. Which I don't mind at all.

At the moment we are checking out a loft in Bucharest. We wanted this one to last. It's been hard laying low. We didn't start with Bucharest first. We've been all over the place, all over the world. I dyed my hair black taking the red that HYDRA gave me away. It was slightly getting easier to know each other when we started to remember who we were back then. Everyday we'd remember something.  Bucky would help me with my powers. Levitate objects, creating a giant force field, containing items within the force field. I prefer not to use them as I was skilled in hand to hand combat already. I wasn't just scared to use them. I was scared that my powers would take over me.

Between the times of S.H.I.E.L.D.  destroyed and us being here Bucky has become more verbal, more physical and more human-like instead of Winter Soldier-like. He shows his emotions more. I think it was because he found out who he truly was at the Museum. We finally remembered a few things and told each other stories about us and Steve back in the old days. Time changes people. Science changes people.

We walk inside the loft and check it out. Just a small room with most of the furniture in it. It definitely needed to be fixed up but we could do it. We can fix it up ourselves. Besides we were just laying low here. Within a few months we'll have to move on. I just hope not too soon.

"Look, most of the furniture is already here. See we could put the dining table here. The bed here and a few small tables here." I point at the empty spaces as Bucky stares at me.

"What? What is it?" I walk over to him. He grins looking down.

"Its good to see you like this. Like you are actually trying to start a life here." He says.

"That's what we are doing, right?" I look up at him. The guy was a giant compared to me.

"Yeah." He nods his head. I lean toward him and wrap my arms around him. He froze in place not moving an inch. He stood there unsure of what to do.

"Hug me back. I remembered we always did this back then. Its what normal people do." My voice was muffled against his chest. He looks down at me as his face softens and wraps his arms around me. He tries not to be too tight or rough.

"We can do this. We can make this work." I say quietly.

"We can." He says back as I let go of him.

"Alright, I will talk to the guy down stairs if you wanna move the furniture around. See if you find any lightbulbs for the lights." I tell him as I head down stairs. The only downside to this whole loft is that there were so many stairs. So. Many. When I get to the bottom of the stairs I talked to the guy that was in charge of the lofts. He said he didn't need any information for me other than thousand bucks for the space. Of course we had money. We weren't working. I kind of feel bad stealing from people but we do what we have to do. We're trying to survive.

I get back up to our loft as Bucky finally arranges the bed into a corner. It was a small bed. We didn't have any sofa or couch just the bed and the kitchen table with the chairs. Someone's going to have to sleep on the floor or we could share the bed.

"We'll have to share the bed. There is no way one of us is going to sleep on the floor." I state. It was already getting late and I wasn't hungry at all. Bucky ate a granola bar and an apple. I climb into the bed closes to the wall taking my coat and shoes off. Bucky climbs in taking his hat, coat and shoes off.

"This isn't so bad. I'm starting to like it." I smiled as Bucky smiles back. It gets quiet for a few minutes as I turn on my side and face Bucky who was facing me. He reaches into his pocket pulling out a silver chain. He hands it to me as I grab and look at it. Its a heart locket necklace.

"Found it at the market. I thought you would like it." He says as my thumb traces over the design.

"I love it. Thank you." I sit up and put it on. I lay back down and scoot closer to him. It was a bit chilly.

"Why do you stay with me?" Bucky asked.

"Because I want to." I say honestly.

"Why?"

"Because it feels right. I remember you. Things changed. Do you not want me around anymore?" I tell him as his eyes stare into mine.

"No. I want you to stay." He says. Kind of surprised me that he thinks this. He wants me to stay.

"Why?" I ask him. My hand goes up tucks a few strands of hair out of his eyes.

"Because it feels right." He gives off a small smile. A shiver runs down my spin as I rub my arms.

"You cold?” Bucky asked.

"Yeah, a little." I sighed.

“You’re shivering, come here.” He rasped, his voice thick with sleep. I didn’t even have time to protest before I felt his metal arm wrap around my stomach and pull me against his warm chest. His warmth spread a crossed my body.

“Better?” he asked, his breath brushing my ear as he spoke. I closed my eyes to enjoy the warmth and comfort he provided.

“Better.” I whispered. This Bucky was new to me or so it seems. I liked it.
