After a while of Steve cleaning himself up we head to the World Exposition. Frank was going to meet us there.

"I don't see what the problem is. You're about to be the last eligible man in New York. You know, there's three and a half million women here. Then there's Willow." Bucky snickers as I hit his arm.

"Well, I'd settle for just one." Steve sighs.

"Good thing I took care of that." He waves toward two girls as they call out his name. My nose wrinkled up at the choice he made. These girls look like they been through an army of men yet still say they are waiting for their first love.

"What did you tell her about me?" Steve asked.

"Only the good stuff." Bucky smiles. We walk through the area as one of the girls gets excited.

"It's starting!" The girl shouts as they both yank Bucky toward a stage. Steve and I follow closely behind.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Howard Stark." The woman announces. Howard Stark, the most brilliant scientist and inventor enters the stage and kisses the announcer. I clap my hands. He was a true inspiration even as a ladies man.

"Ladies and gentlemen, what if I told you that in just a few short years, your automobile won't even have to touch the ground at all." The female helpers take the wheels of the car on stage. I felt someone tap on my shoulder as I turn around.

"Frank honey! Glad you could make it." I kiss his lips quickly then turn back to the stage.

"Glad to see my girl." He says back with a smile as his arms wrap around me as he stood behind.

"Yes. Thanks, Mandy. With Stark robotic reversion technology, you'll be able to do just that." He turns on the switch of his machine and the car starts to hover off the ground.

"Oh my god." My eyes glimmer.

"Holy cow." Bucky smiles. The robots making the car hover suddenly malfunction and the car falls back on stage.

"I did say a few years, didn't I?" Howard says as I laugh and clap my hands with the crowd.

"Where did Steve go?" Bucky turns to me. He now notice Frank stand there.

"Good to see you man. Been a while." Bucky hesitates but takes his hand out as Frank shakes it firmly.

"Its great to see you too, James." Frank says back.

"Steve?" Bucky asked again as I turn to look for him. I shrug my shoulders. I don't know where he could have gone.

"Honey, why don't you stay with the girls while Bucky and I go look for Steve." I tell him as he gives me a are you kidding me look.

"Be quick." He tells me as I nod my head and kiss his cheek. I grab Bucky's hand as we look around.

"I still don't like the guy." Bucky says.

"You don't have too." I roll my eyes for the billionth time.

"He doesn't treat you right." Bucky mutters.

"And you know how to treat a girl? You sure picked out a couple of winners. How long will they last?" I scowled.

"Come on Willow, I'm a ladies man. You are built strong for wife material."

"That's what they trained us for. Grow up, meet a cute army man, marry, have kids and then you die." I huff out.

"Except Frank isn't Army. He's a coal miner." He gags at the coal miner part earning a laugh from me.

"Still a dangerous job, decent pay and helping around town." I point out. Bucky narrows his eyes at me.

"At least I know he wont be on another girl other then me. You never know with Army men." I could hear Bucky scoff as I sped up now realizing where Steve could have gone. To a recruitment center.

"I might move on but I never cheat." Bucky says.

"I didn't mean for it to sound rude. It was an opinion that I heard from the other wives." I sighed as I see Steve looking at himself as a soldier in a mirror. The kid was desperate.

"Come on. You're kind of missing the point of a triple date. We're taking the girls dancing. Frank seems to be getting impatient." Bucky nods his head behind us as I get a glance and see the girls looking at some stuff as Frank kept his eyes on the three of us.

"You go ahead. I'll catch up with you." Steve tells us.

"You really gonna do this again?" Bucky asked him.

"Well, it's a fair. I'm gonna try my luck." Steve gives in.

"As who? Steve from Ohio? They'll catch you. Or worse, they'll actually take you." Bucky worries.

"Look, I know you don't think I can do this." Steve says.

"No, you can do this. Its just not the right time." I shake my head.

"This isn't a back alley, Steve. It's a war!" Bucky says as I step back. I know I should step in but when these two guys start to argue its just best for them to sort it out. I usually step in if it never dies down.

"I know it's a war. You don't have to tell me." Steve sighs.

"Why are you so keen to fight? There are so many important jobs." Bucky exclaimed.

"What am I gonna do? Collect scrap metal in my little red wagon." Steve asked.

"Yes! Why not?" Bucky asked.

"I'm not gonna sit in a factory, Bucky. Bucky, come on! There are men laying down their lives. I got no right to do any less than them. That's what you don't understand. This isn't about me." Steve tells him honestly.

"Right. Cause you got nothing to prove." Bucky says. I hit his arm.

"Its better than Frank. At least he's trying, Buck." I whisper looking at Steve with sympathy. Everyone knows Steve's parents died, that he was on his own for a while. But he had Bucky and I. I felt like the laid-back mother as Bucky was the stern father.

"Hey, Sarge! Are we going dancing?" One of the girls calls out. I wanted to vomit.

"Yes, we are." Bucky says as he turns to them. They giggle forcefully as Bucky turns back to us.

"Don't do anything stupid until I get back." Bucky says as he goes to walk away.

"How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you." Steve says as I chuckle lightly.

"You're a punk." Bucky walks back towards Steve and hugs him goodbye.

"Jerk. Be careful." Steve tells him as Bucky walks away.

"Don't win the war till I get there!" Steve shouts. Bucky turns solutes Steve and walks with the girls sweet-talking them to go dance. I roll my eyes at them as I turn to face Steve. I give him a light hug as Frank walks up.

"Its a great song playing. We should dance." Frank pulls on my wrist as I snatch it back.

"In a minute." I tell him. I look at Steve as he looks down at the ground. I tilt his chin up so he can look at me.

"I'm not telling you to stop trying. I want you to try even harder. One day you will get accepted. I have faith in you. Until then work on your muscles, kid." I lightly punch Steve as he holds his arm as if he'd been shot as I giggle lightly. Frank glares at us as I clear my throat.

"Take care. Stevie. Bucky and I will be back before you know it." I walk away from him as Frank grabs my arm harshly.
