We all travel back to headquarters. Since I was now part-time nurse and part-time Soldier, Colonel Phillip wanted me around more often since Peggy was training me. When Steve and Bucky found out they were in shock that I was fighting. They couldn't believe that I could shoot a gun. I showed them. They got scared.
"Promise to never cheat on her." Steve said as I tuck the gun away after I shot a target dead center.
"Wasn't planning on it. Ever." Bucky says. I smirked at the boys. After some time of settling in there was a party going on at a bar. A local one that all soldiers and army men went to off mission. Peggy and I were like best friends. Course I was older than her, I found out that she lied on her Enlistment. She promised me never to tell but I told her I'd never do it anyway. I respected her for fighting for our country. We're fighting for our rights. We picked out some dresses and head down to the bar. I wasn't quite sure how to feel about going to a bar of drunk men. The last time I experiment with drunk man was Frank. And it's been a year or two since then. We walk inside over to Steve and Bucky. The bar was now silent.
"Captain." Peggy greeted Steve.
"Agent Carter. Willow." Steve stands up from his stool as Bucky did the same.
"Ma'am." Bucky greets her. She nods her head as he pulls me in for a kiss.
"My girl." Bucky smiles. I giggled lightly.
"Howard has some equipment for you to try. Tomorrow morning?" Peggy asked.
"Sounds good." Steve agrees.
"I see your top squad is prepping for duty." Peggy clears her throat as we see the rowdy men surrounding the piano.
"You don't like music?" Bucky asked her.
"I do, actually. I might even, when this is all over, go dancing." Peggy smiles at Steve.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Bucky asked grabbing my hand and kissing it as my cheeks flush pink. A double date?
"The right partner. 0800, Captain." She says as she nods her head for us to leave. I kiss Bucky on the cheek. We walk away from them as Peggy smiles.
"Yes, ma'am. I'll be there." Steve shouts.
We get back to our headquarters has Peggy hands me a uniform. There was no way I was going to be on a mission in a skirt. No way at all. I'll be a nurse in a dress but fighting there was no way I could do that in a skirt.
"Pants?" I asked her as she smiles lightly. She walks over into a Corridor and hands me an extra extra small pair of pants. Same color as the tie. I try on my uniform and tie my hair up. I look in the mirror and see myself. Never in a million years I thought I would turn out like this.
We were prepping to get ready to go on a mission. Steve told the Colonel he didn't me on his team.
"Why not?" I asked looking at Steve then to Bucky.
"Its dangerous and you are more helpful with the nurses." Bucky says.
"She either goes with you Star spangle banner or I'm sending her on missions she will lead with a group of men." Colonel says. I nod my head at him.
"She's with me." Steve gives in. The colonel agreed. Not only was I a soldier I was a nurse that I could help when I was needed. Bucky and Steve didn't want me to go but I insisted. It was my choice.
The missions weren't as bad as I thought they were. Bucky and Steve were worrying over nothing. They were proud of me. Us Brooklyn kids need to stick together. We fight together. I'd sweet talk my way to HYDRA breaking into the bases. Bucky and Steve saw me as bait everyone else saw me as an advantage. Whatever it takes to take down the HYDRA bases. We were burning down every HYDRA base that we came across. That was the plan.
"Who would you invite to the wedding?" Bucky asked as we start practice shooting. It calmed me down when I was stressed. We had a big mission coming up. Rumor has it Doctor Zola was going to be on a train ride. We were going to ambush it.
"Obviously Steve. Your family. Peggy. Who else?" I asked. All my family was dead.
"Frank?" Bucky smirks.
"Oh god, please don't bring that mistake up." I gaged as he chuckles.
"I kinda wanna see the look on his face when he hears about us getting married." Bucky says with a grin. I couldn't help but laugh.
"It would be funny." I give in. I stop shooting. All my targets were down.
"What about kids, Buck?" I asked him. We never really talked about having kids. I shove the gun in my holster as Bucky walks over to me.
"Just two, a boy and a girl. In that order." Bucky says with a small smile.
"A boy and a girl. I'd like that." It seems like a perfect family. Bucky kisses my lips as his hand fiddles with my shirt. I grab his hands and place them back on my waist.
"Hands up here, Sarge. We're not having kids anytime soon." I smirked.
