Snow Patrol~ Chasing Cars

_Alexandra

I scanned the halls for a tall black headed male, but I failed to spot Him. I sighed leaning against my locker. The wind brushed past me sending a shiver through my body. Goosebumps formed on my skin.

I crossed my arms over my chest hoping to at least gain a little heat. Still, I was freezing. Of course I was freezing. I was a stick! Sticks held no warmth in them.

"Alex!" His voice rang in my ears. I looked up to see Ashton making his way toward me. I smiled standing straight.

"Ashton." I greeted.

"What's up?" He chuckled. My cheeks flushed as I thought about what I wanted to tell him.

Should I tell him? I mean, I wanted to. But then again, I really didn't. Might as well get it over with. Alright! Let's do this.

"I have some thing I want to tell you." I cleared my throat.

"Okay." He spoke slowly. Like he was scared. There was nothing to be scared of. For him, me even, this was good news.

And no, I was not pregnant. I wasn't ready for that. Oh no! I could never. Not in this life time. My dad would have my head, and Daniel! I couldn't even begin to imagine what he would do. He was worse than my father.

"Ashton.." I gulped.

I was scared! So scared I couldn't even bring myself to speak the rest of the sentence. I had to. I needed to!

"Yes my love." He leant against the lockers.

"Ashton, I want you to mark me." I furrowed my eye brows. I looked up at him afraid of his reaction. I mean, we weren't even dating. AND I ALREADY WANTED HIM TO MARK ME!

He seemed deep in thought. What was he thinking? I made a mistake. I really ruined it now.

"Never mind!" I shook my head and walked away. Ashton's hand grasped mine pulling me back to him.

"I'd love to." He smirked. "Just tell me when. And where."

He moved his head towards my neck. My breath caught in my throat as Ashton pressed his lips to my soft spot. I bit my lip trying to keep my composure.

Ashton pulled back leaving me dazed. He chuckled stepping back. My eyes met his as I balled my fists at my sides.

"See you later, Red." He winked and walked away.

"Damn you!" I clenched my teeth. I was gonna get him back. Oh, yes I was!

The day went by fairly quick. I opened my locker just as Aston came up. I smiled at him and stuffed every thing inside making an even bigger mess. I seriously needed to clean out my locker.

"I have some thing for you. It's in my garage though." He smiled. I nodded my head shutting my locker.

I followed him out into the parking lot. We got in his car and drove back to his place. Ashton parked along the curb and got out. I followed him up his drive way.

Ashton opened his garage and inside say a Jeep exactly like mine. Except, it looked ... brand new. And it wasn't damaged. I looked over at Ashton waiting for him to give me what ever it was he had for me.

I was handed a pair of keys to the Jeep. I frowned slowly taking them. What were these for? What the hell is he doing?

"This is yours." He pointed to the car. I opened my mouth to speak, but he beat me to it. "It's for damaging your other car."

"You didn't have to." I spoke up after a while of silence. I rolled his eyes lightly pushing me towards the car. I looked back at him waiting for him to laugh and say that he was just kidding, but he didn't.

He stood there with an encouraging smile as I slowly walked over. I unlocked the car and got in. Ashton got in the passengers seat and shut the door.

"Let's go for a test drive." He smiled plugging his seat belt in. I nodded following his actions. I started the car and drove out of his garage.

I drove onto the street and around the block. The car ran smoothly. Just like my other one. I was happy to have a car again. I really missed driving. Driving was a coping mechanism for me.

I drove us back and turned the car off. I smiled over at Ashton. He chuckled unbuckling. We got out and slammed the doors shut.

"You didn't have to. Seriously. Thank you though!" I hugged him. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and kissing my temple.

"Just the smile on your face is enough to make me happy. I'm glad you like it." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes and walked into my house.

I have a flipping car again!
